Sun City South Golf Course
About
The Sun City South Golf Course is normally a private club but during the summer months, public play is allowed. The course has a traditional layout with four sets of teeboxes for a variety of different golfing options, which allow golfers to work on a range of different handicaps. The golf course has a fair share of challenges with several sand bunkers and plenty of trees scattered throughout. There are also out-of-bounds stakes providing more difficulty. Water hazards come into play on some holes as well. The Sun City South Golf Course facility has a putting green and chipping area for golfers to use in addition to the course.

Post overseed
The course is looking good after overseed. It’s cart path only right now, but I walked anyway. The fairways are going to fill in more as time goes by. You don’t get much roll at all yet, but as they cut the grass shorter that will change. The greens are rolling slow since they are still a little fuzzy, but the grass on them came in well during overseed.
Nice course
You can tell that they have really worked hard to improve this course. Greens were a little slow but in great condition. The fairways were very good. Easy to hit off of. Will definitely play it again.
Sun city south golf course
Flat course which was in great condition just prior to over seeding greens were true staff friendly overall a good experience
Last day before overseeding!
Warm day, fast greens , course cut way down but still in great playing shape! Always nice folks in the clubhouse who really help getting things going and send you on your way to play! Thanks and we'll see ya in a few weeks!
Great greens
The greens were green, soft and had a good pace. Some of the best greens we've played this summer.
Conditions were good
Overall, course was in good condition! Greens rolling nice bunkers in good shape. Walked course 2.1/2 hours . Got lucky that day .
Great conditions
Sun City South is a great place to golf with great conditions for this time of year. I enjoy golfing there very much.
Greens were impeccable. Great work crew
Awesome shape. Best in town. Nice work entire team.
Sun city south
Course was in really good shape. Don’t be off the fairways.
Pretty burned out
Course was practically empty after noon. Fairways were more bare than grass (110 degrees). They are due for aeration in 2 weeks.
Course tee time never includes a cart and now they're charging GolfNow customers more for a seat than normal course charge.
With all that said, still one of the more affordable courses in town during summer (with some still trying to get $50 or more despite high temps).
Golf is like the housing market... and it's a seller's market again.
Poor Playing Condition
I play this course at least 3-4 times per month. The course is currently in poor condition and should reduce the rates. $45 is too high given the conditions. The greens were good but the fairways had many mud / bare spots. You are penalized for hitting your ball in the fairway. The bunkers were muddy today. The course may not be in decent shape for 2-4 weeks. Sun City Lakes East is a WAY better option.
A good day
Pace of play on front nine was excellent while back nine was slower but still good pace for overall 18 holes.
Intresting layout on a rather flat course.
3 par threes and 3 par fives. Good greens. Decent value.
