Sun City Lakes Golf Club - West Course
About
The 18-hole West Course at Sun City Lakes Golf Club is a private course with a traditional layout. The course is quite open and features a few interesting challenges. It is relatively flat, making it nice to walk although carts are available. More advanced players that mostly hit straight balls may not find the course challenging enough, but it is quite enjoyable for beginners and intermediate players. Notable holes on the course are the 3rd, 9th, and 18th since they can be played a few different ways. The Lakes West Golf Course facility, in addition to the course, has practice facilities including a putting green, chipping area, and driving range.

Lakes West
The course was in really good shape. Grass was nice on tee boxes, fairways and greens. They keep it in good condition, even with the 110 degree heat. The tee time rate is for walking, but with this heat I paid $8 for a cart. A lot of the courses in the area are burnt out in the fairways, so it was nice to play on some good grass throughout the course. Not many people on the course, so I played in about 2 1/2 hours.
Wonderful Course
Course is in top notch condition. Pace is always an issue here as the course is in a retirement community.
Well done!
Best value! There are courses charging double for far less quality conditions. Well done Pebblebrook, well done!
Omaha visitor
Good value, fairways and greens in excellent shape. Course fairly open, wide fairways. Easy to walk. Will return
Old town scottsdale visitor
Course in excellent shape tee to green, rough is patchy dormant grass. Pace of play excellent for a sunday afternoon, less than 4 hours. Limited availability of carts.
Stop complaining
Everyone complaining about five allowed . It’s been this way for YEARS!! I understand a trillion little men picked up the sport during covid and are looking for a cheap round here in the valley during the winter months, but this is the norm. So grab some drinks, put on the tunes and enjoy the weather with your buddies at probably one of the more generous courses in the valley.
No Carts available, fivesomes allowed
Slowest round of golf - ever? very few golf carts, and allowing groups of 5 people makes for a 4 1/2 hour round that should normally take 3 hours. had to wait at every hole and almost on every shot./ That's a pain in the butt.
