About
The 18-hole West Course at Sun City Lakes Golf Club is a private course with a traditional layout. The course is quite open and features a few interesting challenges. It is relatively flat, making it nice to walk although carts are available. More advanced players that mostly hit straight balls may not find the course challenging enough, but it is quite enjoyable for beginners and intermediate players. Notable holes on the course are the 3rd, 9th, and 18th since they can be played a few different ways. The Lakes West Golf Course facility, in addition to the course, has practice facilities including a putting green, chipping area, and driving range.

Beware odd Frost Delay policy
Be advised that if you're tee-time happens to be inside the frost delay times, your tee-time will be canceled. They don't push everyone back. Golf Now doesn't give refunds in this case. If you're lucky and patient, the course staff will squeeze you into an opening if available. This also results in 5-somes further slowing pace.
Best advice is don't book early during the winter. Try to book after 8:30a.
Slow play
Not enough riding carts had to wait 20 min. Nice course but slow play due to many people walking
Fast Greens!
Course is in good shape and the greens are fast. Got to have good touch to chip and putt it close. Pace was great for our group of four, never had to wait to hit a shot.
Bigmo
Course was a challenge, tough pin placement s and FAST greens. Excellent time with my buddies
Great value
Pure and fast greens. Wide open fairways. Great value for cost.
Good course for the money
I like the West course, as it's just a little shorter than most of Sun Citys courses, and gives me a better score. Lol. I can hit more greens in regulation, so my overall score is better. Tge tee boxes were a little dry, but other than that ot was a fun day.
Iowa Bigmo
Pace a little slow, but fareways and greens were in very good condition. Some very tricky pin placements.
Fairways were over watered , had to keep moving our ball to a dry spot to hit. To much standing water in the fairways and around the greens. Wasn’t much fun that day
