Treasure!!!
BC Muni is a treasure to the lay. Has the feel of LV National and is really challenging and fun. Definitely recommend
Course is in Great Condition
The Muni is in awesome condition right now, but pretty much every course in the valley is right now with this amazing weather we've been having. Played 18 holes and had a very enjoyable game. Pace of play was pretty slow but they were just finishing up league so that's expected.
Took just over 5 hours but I wasn't in a hurry and the weather was great. The fairways are in great condition, greens are in good shape for the most part, and layout is fun. The tee boxes could use some leveling, but besides that, you can't go wrong with the Muni right now.
GREAT municipal facility, best experience in Vegas area
This is a Vegas gem. My first time playing there and I was very impressed with the people that operate the facility. Right from the very first step on the property we were met by friendly staff working the carts. Gave directions for this newly on where to fine everything and noted our reservation was on schedule. Concession staff was equally friendly and accommodating. Then I went to the pro-shop to check in and encountered another friendly face. My goodness, it was great. Golf course was in great shape, greens were desert smooth and fair. Wish I had a better game :-). I'll be back next time I book a Las Vegas golf trip.
Bad Condition, But Expected
My impression on this outing wasn't very good, but I have played before where it was better. I played in March. The fairways were painted green. Yes with paint. I do understand that its not a typical thing for this course. I've played in the fall before and the grass was much better. The front 9 is very beginner friendly. Our joke is that its tough not to be in A fairway. It might not be the fairway of the hole you are on, but it is a fairway. They did go a little overboard on the green on hole 2. Its 3 tiered. If you hit the ball on a tier higher than the hole, chances are your ball will roll all the way down and off the green. They did do good with their water features. They defiantly have to be considered when playing. Some courses have water that isn't much of a hazard, but not here. One hole has water on the right side which is deadly for a slicer like me. The hole going the opposite direction you have to consider if you are going to play the fairway or play it close to the water for an easier second shot. They also have a short par 4 where you can lay it up on the fairway, or cut the corner over the water for the drivable green.
It's defiantly not my favorite course, but it is a fun place to go with friends who aren't too into golf or a very new to the sport.
Great place
I love this place, green grass all over the area. I fully enjoyed playing golf.
Don't miss this one!
What a great track. Very nice greens, great fairways. Well kept course and the staff were very friendly. We always play this course everything we ate passing thru going home A must play , very reasonable price too even for non residents.
Boulder City Course
The Boulder City Course is in need of work. Greens are very patch and dry.
