Boulder Creek Golf Club - Desert Hawk/Coyote Run
About
Boulder Creek Golf Club boasts three nine-hole courses, which can be played in different 18-hole combinations. Though this Boulder City club is a bit off the beaten path, the scenic location is well worth the drive. The terrain provides different challenges on each nine. The Desert Hawk/Coyote Run combination begins with the longest of the three nines. Desert Hawk has plenty of room for lengthy drives and clear shots to generous fairways. There are also opportunities to work on your short game skills, it's a nine that will have you using all the clubs in your bag. The back nine is just as diverse with varying elevation changes that depending on where your ball lands can either be a boon or a punishment. Water hazards also come into play on a few holes.

Cart staff rude, Grill staff not accommodating
They punched the greens 2 weeks prior to this round. No notification when checking in. Everyone’s putts were bouncing and it was hard to make a straight 3’putt.
I don’t like leaving negative reviews however the cart staff were rude for no reason. I asked where the driving range was and this old man yelled the directions at me. As I sat there shocked at his reply he yelled even louder with a condescending attitude. I explained I wasn’t deaf he continued to mumble as he walked away. This was Completely unnecessary!
I also had some breakfast before my round and the guy at the bar top was not accommodating at all. Attitude was order what’s on the menu As Is or pay for each item separately. All I wanted was to sub biscuits/gravy instead of the toast. Not that hard of a request. While I was eating he was rude to other people that were picking up their food at the turn.
Course layout was fun and challenging. I won’t be back. I’ll spend my $ where it is appreciated.
On a positive note the young guy in the proshop was very nice.
WHERE are the Rangers?
LOVE this course but, on a weekday, pace of play was SO SLOW that I quit after 11 holes. No ranger. Nobody paying attention to make it good for everyone. I really like this course, but this time it was not so good because of the slow pace!
Slow Play
Decent course but the pace of play was terrible. Waited on every tee box. Saw Course Marshall once and he said pace of play was fine despite GPS system stating the pace of play was 15 minutes behind after 6 holes. By the time we finished the GPS system indicated we were 45 minutes behind pace, yet no Marshall was seen on the back nine.
One of my favorites
There is a bit of construction going on both on course and next door development which effects conditions. Overall great. One of my favorite in the area. Great hole design with thoughtfully designed holes to make you think
Great Course, Disappointing Experience
Boulder Creek is, in my opinion, one of the best values in Clark County. Course conditions are consistently very good year-round, and the overall operation is usually excellent. The cart staff, starters, and management have generally been top notch. Unfortunately, a recent front desk experience was handled in a rude and unprofessional manner, which took away from what should have been an enjoyable outing. That was especially disappointing at a course I otherwise regard so highly. Without that incident, this would have been a 5-star review.
Outstanding Course, One Poor Customer Service Experience
Boulder Creek is, in my opinion, the best value in Clark County. Course conditions are consistently very good year-round, and the overall experience is usually excellent. I play here often and have always thought highly of the course, staff, and operation as a whole. Unfortunately, a recent front-desk experience was rude and unprofessional and took away from what should have been an enjoyable outing. That was disappointing, especially at a course I otherwise regard so highly. Without that incident, this would have been a 5-star review.
A Gem
Big fan of desert golf. This course is relatively wide open. Even if you miss the fairway and end up in a waste area you’re still looking at a clean shot to the green. Greens fairly large and a realistic challenge. Very nice course conditions. Every view of the course and mountains is pure desert. Looks like pictures in a magazine when you look around. Par 3’s are fun. On vacation and so I played the White Tee’s. Plenty of fun approach shots. The weather is unusually hot this week, which gave it a true desert feel. By all means, play this course. Even as a non-resident, the greens fees were only $99. Friendly pro shop staff. Girl behind the bar, well that’s why I gave 4 stars for that category.
A must play course when in Vegas. No more than 30 minutes from The Vegas Strip.
Always enjoyable.
Boulder Creek is my favorite course. I've been here many times. I'm a little disappointed that a new housing development is going in next to the course. It was a wild area that.was the home of coyotes and roadrunners. That were encountered regularly on many occasions. Sad to see that go. But the course is always fun to play and is highly recommended. The staff is also very good to work with and are always helpful.
Ok course
Course condition is ok, greens are not the best. Pauite is a much better course
Not worth $150
Our tee time was at 7:00 am, we didn’t tee off until 8:30 am because of a frost delay. They accidentally turned on the sprinklers the night before knowing that the weather was close to freezing.
Worth the drive from Las Vegas
impressive municipal course in Boulder City. Real desert golf. No homes. Wide open space everywhere. Big fairways. Big bunkers. Solid greens.
Staff was great. Carts have GPS. Practice setup is legit with multiple areas and a large driving range. Course condition was excellent even with dormant grass. Spray painted fairways but they played fine.
There are 27 holes here. I played Coyote Run and El Dorado. Both were fun and forgiving but still interesting.
I will absolutely play Boulder Creek Golf Club again next time I’m in Las Vegas.
