Wolf Run Golf Club

It’s a pretty course but I’d suggest going elsewhere.

I understand that teeing off mid-afternoon on a weekend usually means a 4-hour round, but we didn’t even get through 9 holes in 2.5 hours. There was no point trying to play through because the groups were stacked for many holes ahead. We saw a 6-some and 5-some ahead, and no marshall in sight to help facilitate pace of play. I really suck at golf and we were still waiting at every tee for 10 minutes.

They also do not allow you to bring your own drinks, yet we saw the cart girl one time. It would be nice to have a drink before the 5th hole. This was especially true for today with the smokey air quality and high temperatures.

We decided to leave and try to come back another day. We went to the pro shop to ask if they might be willing to offer us a rain check or maybe cut us a break on another round, but they were unwilling to work with us at all. Even with all of that, I wouldn’t have bothered leaving a bad review except for the pro shop employee was really rude about it all.

The overwatering requires you to play 'Lift Clean and Replace' . Everyone of my tee shots plugged and had no roll-out. Greens were overly soft. The greens were however some of the nicest surfaces I've played this summer, very well cut and consistent made for good accurate reads.

My husband and I played this course for the second time. This time the marmots were hibernating. :-) The course played fair. Some overwatering due to heat but wasn't terrible. The greens were fast and in excellent conditions. Fair but challenging. We had a fun time and the food at the grill is yummy!

Not a single yardage marking on the course. No 150 or 100 yard marking, no yardage on sprinklers. Very discouraging.

Every single person we dealt h with were incredibly helpful!

A must golf course!

Haven't played here in a few years and the course was tougher than I remember. Greens were hard, unreceptive and super fast. But that was about the only quibble of our round. Played in less than four hours on a Saturday -- never waited and we were never pushed.

Decent range with an accurate yardage board. Course was in decent shape. Few pockets of water and maintenance areas on fairways. Great greens—really tough to judge speed. Ask the course about putting to or away from Mt. Rose.

Clubhouse, bar and restaurant were all great. I’ll definitely be back in the future to exact my revenge on those greens!

Wolf Run is a course you play for the challenge and the beauty. The staff is friendly, the course playable, tough at times and always challenging. You can’t go wrong with Wolf Run.

The course conditions were okay. Everything was very wet, some damaged fairways due to the moisture, mushy and unlevel tee boxes, and the greens were ok but somewhat wet which made them inconsistent. Splashed mud on myself driving in the fairway a couple times. All in all it was a fun day with friends, but better course conditions would have made it a perfect day.

The course was in ok shape, pretty moist cart path only on some holes. I think it may have been our positioning but we got stuck behind the guy blowing the fairways on three of the tee boxes we were on. Don't try to make excuses but it's real distracting having someone buzzing back and forth in front of you while your trying to drive the ball.Anyway had a crappy round of golf with wonderful friends, so it made for the okayest of days.

Tough course, greens rolled fast but soggy muddy tee boxes and fairways.

Ball plugged in fairway twice, partner lost ball next to green and finally found it plugged in rough.

Some fairways damaged but they are making an effort to repair it.

Gps on cart would help speed of play as many holes blind shots and it takes time figuring out where to go.

Have been a GolfPass member for > 2 years and other than a few occasional hiccups with online reservation postings and availabilities, I have been impressed and for me it has been a great deal so far. I typically play 1x week by preference.

Price has literally doubled in the last year. Pretty much majority of the demographic here now is CA transplants which is probably why pace of play is so slow. I get supply and demand but it’s laughable paying 80+ dollars to play a 6+ hour 18 at wolfrun.
