Wolf Run Golf Club

I like the terrain of this course with it being hills and drops. Very nice views too!

Played with a friend on April 26, 2023 and we were matched with 2 single digit singles. Great guys, perfect weather snd the course was in surprisingly fantastic shape for so early in the season!

We has a great time. The greens were fast and challenging. The course views were fantastic.

Wolf Run is a good course with a great lay out. And consideringmthe winter the course is in good condition. BUT, the pace of play was horrible. We waited on every hole beginning with the first one. This may be due to the fact that they have no course marshals!!!! It was 5 1/2 hours!!

Duncan golf management gets a swing and a miss rating for Wolf Run. Which is sad because I happen to love all of their other courses. First off, we pull up to the tee box at the first tee and are awaited by a group of 12-20 high schoolers standing on the tee box for a “high school practice”. So, if you’re gonna have a group of 20 high school kids practicing on the actual course…. Maybe don’t sell other tee times to the public???? Just a thought. Secondly, the course is in overall very poor shape. Fairways are splotchy all over with patches of dirt everywhere. Greens are decent but also not the best. Similar to Washoe Golf Course. Third, when we arrived the staff in the pro shop was very rude, and never mentioned to us that we would only be able to play 9 holes… even though the rate on golf now said 18 holes. They didn’t say one word about it. Not one. So as we make the turn to go to hole #10 we are approached by a 20 something year old kid with absolutely no respect or ANY type of professionalism. The kid was an absolute punk as he argued with us and tried to act like we were the ones in the wrong, when we were never told by anyone that we had “only payed for 9 holes” ($50 for 9 holes is a joke by the way, for a dogtrack of a course that’s always in terrible shape).

Overall awful experience at ‘Wolf Run’. I would honestly give it a negative rating if I could, as the course is nowhere near the quality that they charge for it, and the entire staff is very rude and unprofessional. Course conditions are very poor. Just don’t waste your money here. Go to Lakeridge or Toiyabe instead, a lot more welcoming and professional. Whoever is running the day to day at wolf run, maybe have some evaluations for your miserable employees, and have some respect for your paying customers. Just a thought.

First time at those course. Paid for 18 holes. When I got there they said they only do 9 after 1pm. No starter, everyone just raced to first tee. Waited 20 minutes at each hole after the first two to tee off. One hole was unplayable due to snow and water. Nice views. Would like to play again in the summer when snow is gone and pace is hopefully better.

The course has beautiful views, and a really nice layout. We did take four hours and 40 minutes to play a round of golf, which to me is ridiculous and I wish people would play faster but there was no Marshall..

The course was in good condition for playing in winter conditions. Had some snow and ice but was in very good condition. The tee boxes were not in food shape and they were crowned, so trying to find a flat spot to tee the ball up was challenging. And due to the cold trying to insert the tee into the ground was tough, so getting the right tee height was difficult at time. I would definitely play the course again in warmer weather.

I played this course a week ago and rated it good value for the money. When I played it this week I paid more and they had a temporary green on hole 9. This was not disclosed when I booked the tee time or when I checked in on the day of play. For the price I paid and the condition of the course I would not recommend to play this course.

They claim that they notified everybody playing golf that day that they sent an email out about the frost delay. I talked to several golfers and none of them received an email about the frost delay. Furthermore, when we arrived and checked in at the pro shop, no one mentioned a frost delay. It wasn’t until we got out on the driving range that we discovered that there was a huge back up. The wait was over an hour and a half so they said we could go off on the back nine. When we came off of 18 and tried to turn onto one they wouldn’t let us off, because there was still a significant back up. It was apparent they were trying to hide the frost delay in order to trap people into paying for a long wait and a slow paced round. Supposedly if I left my name, phone number and email address, the general manager would contact me, but that was just another lie to get me to stop complaining and go away
