Wolf Run Golf Club

I’ve been playing at WR for many years, its 10 minutes from my house and I wouldn’t go anywhere else thanks

I like the layout and condition of this course. We played midday Tuesday and it didn't seem too crowded, but it still took us almost 5 hours to finish the round. We played as a foursome. We waited for the foursome in front of us and the group in front of them for the whole front nine. Pace picked up on the back nine.

I really like the layout of the course, it rewards good play but doesn't penalize you too bad with poor shots. the fairways are in early season conditions with a lot of bare spots which can be overlooked.

My only gripe with the course was the lack of distance markings. There were no markings on the tee boxes on the par 3's, no 150 markers on the fairways and no markings on sprinkler heads. Not everyone plays with a range finder.

Between the snow covered peaks of Slide Mountain and Mt. Rose and the vibrant green of the course, Wolfrun is always beautiful and challenging, no matter what level of golfer you are. From the scratch to the differ, like me, wolfrun challenges you on every hole. The greens especially are tricky and well maintained and you better bring your “A” game when putting, even on the flattest of greens. All in all, Wolfrun has become my go-to course when I want a fun, and quick round.

Everything was as expected except the day I played the winds gust up to 35 miles. It was a bad day to play

Pretty good round. Looks like the grass was being over watered. Too many patchy fairways. But over all good.
