About
Wolf Run Golf Club is one of south Reno's most popular courses. The course is situated amid the Sierra Foothills, tumbling across a picturesque desert landscape sprinkled with native flora. The layout has many risk-reward opportunities and the par-3 holes are especially fun. The hilly terrain is as scenic as it is challenging, providing some tricky uneven lies and there is a meandering creek that slithers along the fairways. Though it's wide open, the golf course requires a bit of accuracy and some good course management. The elevated tees offer some spectacular views as well as some intimidating approaches to the fast, undulating greens. In addition to the golf course, Wolf Run also has a practice facility with a driving range and putting and chipping greens. You can also get your clubs repaired on site.

Amazing February round of golf
Course was in good shape for winter time. Pace was steady at 4.5 hours , short sleeve golf in February is always a great day.
Always a good layout
Cojrse is in pretty good condition. Pace of play was agonizingly slow
Abandon Course
There was snow all over the course but the greens played extremley fair. Wolf Run is usually ab great experience though on this day I thought they dropped the ball a little. I got a hotdeal for 3 at $120 and my other two bailed out last minute due to cold.. I talked to there Asst. Manager Zack and he informed me that they don't give out vouchers for another day that was policy. He was fairly nice about it though all I heard is I'm out $80. Duncan runs the property and they have the best soups for cold golf BTW. Though even when I wrote or tried to call them NO ANSWERS. Kinda Crappy.
Need a marshal to help speed of play
Great layout. Beautiful views. Awesome staff. For a January round, greens were rolling well.
Varied skill levels plays this course - i get it. But when guys/gals reload multiple times without utilizing lateral placement, break foursomes into twosomes, look for extra balls in the rough, and allow entire hole gaps in front - frustration levels rise.
Love the course and will definitely be back. Hoping for a round under 4:45 for a Monday midday round.
Normal Winter Golf
Course still had patches of snow on the sides but still playable. Grass is still mainly dormant. Greens were in very good shape for this time of year and very fast.
My Favorite Reno Course
Wolf Run never disappoints me no matter of the season!
January/Winter Review
Overall the course is not in good condition. This is January and there was snow on the ground in shaded areas. Most of the greens are in very good condition but a few not so much. If this were the conditions in the spring and summer months I would give it a two star rating.
Good layout
Have played Wolf Run in the past. It is in pretty poor shape even for this time of year. Pace of play was OK but no starter on the first tee or Marshall. Arrived at the 1st tee on time and there were 2 groups waiting to tee off. Needed a starter. Other courses in the area are less expensive and in better shape. Also have a starter and are better organized. .
