About
Wolf Run Golf Club is one of south Reno's most popular courses. The course is situated amid the Sierra Foothills, tumbling across a picturesque desert landscape sprinkled with native flora. The layout has many risk-reward opportunities and the par-3 holes are especially fun. The hilly terrain is as scenic as it is challenging, providing some tricky uneven lies and there is a meandering creek that slithers along the fairways. Though it's wide open, the golf course requires a bit of accuracy and some good course management. The elevated tees offer some spectacular views as well as some intimidating approaches to the fast, undulating greens. In addition to the golf course, Wolf Run also has a practice facility with a driving range and putting and chipping greens. You can also get your clubs repaired on site.

Course Condition
This course was in excellent condition a couple of years ago. Not so much anymore. Greens were good. Fairways had numerous bare spots. Hitting a perfect shot in the fairway led to many bare lie second shots.

Wolf run is always a good time.
We had some winds and cold towards the end but still enjoyed the day.
Good course greens are in great condition
Course is great, incredible value. Greens are in great shape and course overall is in good shape.
The range balls look like they’ve been run through a snowblower. Don’t bother hitting balls on the range. Will play again. Fun course.
Great course that has gone downhill
Course conditions have worsened on this course in the last couple of years. I attribute it mostly to abuse by users. But the staff could improve some of the rough, bare areas that exist throughout the course. It has a great layout and was previously in very nice shape.
Play conservative
Great course if you have a consistent game. Course layout is tight at times. Tee boxes are a little uneven. Overall nice playing
Wet
Course was a bi wet but played well. Greens were rolling nice.
Good round
I have always loved Wolf Run. This is the course where I learned to play golf. Favorite course in Reno. However, this is poorest condition I have ever seen it in. The greens were good though, so it is still super playable. These last 2 years have been really tough for golf courses, so I definitely understand.. I just hope the great conditions return next season. Still love this place and will continue to play it. Would recommend.
Frost delay - just communicate better to your customers
I booked a 7:15am time because I had to drag the wife to the airport in the afternoon and wanted to ensure I had plenty of time to get that done. It was really cold that night and there was frost all over the course, so we had a frost delay. I **totally** get that - can't let players and carts out on the course under those conditions. What wasn't good, however, was the lack of communication to the golfers regarding start times, etc. Everyone found out we could begin when the starter moved his golf cart that was blocking the path to the #1 tee and then drove to the tee and waited for golfers to come up. No announcement or anything. Weird. Pro shop staff was kind of "meh, I don't care" about the whole thing too. Anyway, I love the course. Really fun to play.

Played with two members Pepper and Andy had a great time. They both explained the course layout to us real polite people. Excellent course thanks toAndy and Pepper.
