About
Wolf Run Golf Club is one of south Reno's most popular courses. The course is situated amid the Sierra Foothills, tumbling across a picturesque desert landscape sprinkled with native flora. The layout has many risk-reward opportunities and the par-3 holes are especially fun. The hilly terrain is as scenic as it is challenging, providing some tricky uneven lies and there is a meandering creek that slithers along the fairways. Though it's wide open, the golf course requires a bit of accuracy and some good course management. The elevated tees offer some spectacular views as well as some intimidating approaches to the fast, undulating greens. In addition to the golf course, Wolf Run also has a practice facility with a driving range and putting and chipping greens. You can also get your clubs repaired on site.

Okayest
It was okay, greens were fine fairways could have used some water.
Greens were nice, but many issues on the fairways. the pace of play was poor even though the marshal tries to help.
Wolf Run
I have played here several times before but never have I seen the course in such poor condition
Great open course with lots of hazards to throw off ur buddies! Great greens and great time
Will play again soon
First time playing course...a good time it was..smoke in the air from nearby forest fires kept the temperature very pleasant. Greens were very nice and very fast...fairways were brown in spots due to the above average temperatures for the last month. The fairways seemed a little over watered. I think more irrigation has been applied to combat the warm weather. Staff was friendly and helpful, as well as the local players. Am anxious to return and putt a bit better on the challenging greens

Overall very disappointed in the pace of play and the condition of the Tee Boxes and the sand traps!

The design of the course was very interesting. However the pace of play and the condition of parts of the course were poor.
The Tee boxes were in terrible condition. There were no marking on the course as far as distances. There were no rakes available around the sand traps. And The pace of play was just too slow to be enjoyable.
July 4th at Wolf Run
My son and I played Wolf Run on July 4th. We had played here before but not in last 3-4 years. I live out of town, he lives in Reno. It is a difficult course for a high handicapped golfer, and hard to determine where to hit ball on some holes due to rough areas off tee, mid fairway or close to green that you have to avoid. I have always liked the course overall, but this time they were overbooked and not marshalled which caused us to quit after 4 hours and still had 4 holes to go. Also, better bring your own GPS as course is NOT marked anywhere and they tell you to download an app on your phone to get their app, if you don't have a smartphone, or have a poor battery, you will not know the distances!
Course is in phenomenal shape!
Greens are absolutely perfect right now!
What Happened?
This was a very nice course to play just a couple years ago, seems they have let it go, very wet, or in some places too dry, greens are more patchy than before, I would give it a 5, it was a 7-8 before.....sad
Great day of Golf
My wife and I had a wonderful time playing golf @ wolf run.
The staff were friendly, the course was pretty, we saw a dear. The weather was great. I like the clean carts. The staff were just wonderful.
We will be back again
