First time playing it & wil be playing it a lot more often it’s a beautiful course & at a very reasonable price!
Los Lagos golf
Was just as I remembered it. I used to live 5min. from Los Lagos when it was first built and was one of the first to play the course after it had opened, I believe it was the City workers and council members that played it first before they opened it to the public. I remember driving by the course to watch the grass grow waiting for it to open.still nice and with 9, 3 pars plenty of opportunities for hole in one's I've gotten 2 on this course #14 and #16.
Great hide away in San Jose
I’ve played here for 6 years. Though it’s a relatively shorter course (has 9 par 3 short holes), but I can still find area to improve on my game every time playing here. It’s a course probably most suited to hone in your pitching and approaching shots. And its natural habitat between holes would certainly make your day lovely. Would love to come back to play soon.
Great Coarse
Wish I plated better but the coarse was in perfect condition. Great respect to the groundskeepers!
Return to Los Lagos
been a while since a return to Los Lagos...great value...challenging course...well maintained...hide the foods as the foxes are out in force waiting to grab a snack off the cart
Fun Afternoon in the Heat
Greens were beautiful for as hot as it was. Tee boxes were a little ruff and fairways were over watered in places. Pace of play on the front 9 was slow but 3 groups in front of us only played 9, so the back was delightful. Nice Friday afternoon.
Horrible conditions
I’ve been playing Los Lagos for years and it’s always been one of my favorites. I’ve regularly recommended it to others. However today was the absolute worst conditions I’ve ever seen. The fairways were soaked and covered with mud. I understand watering the greens but it played like it just rained for 4 weeks straight. There were puddles in the bunkers, car paths, fairways and even on the greens. It’s early October and it hasn’t rained in about 5 months. Mud was spitting up at us as we drove the cart down the fairways and my clothes were filthy after the round. Massive chunks of grass have been removed and all it did was create hazards. A staff member told us they were areating the greens. I get that, however you don’t have to soak the course to make it unbearable to play. There was zero warring of these conditions nor any discount. It made for a miserable round. There are many better options to play in the South Bay.
Los Lagos value
Great value for seniors- have some pace of play
Issues sometimes and some brown patches here and there but great value for senior play- greens always good
We had to wait 30 minutes past our tee time
They put us in with a tournament going on and they wanted us to wait til they finished while we are there for twilight hour so we don’t have to much time to play 18 holes ..we still waited like 30 minutes but they wanted us to wait longer?….they took our money and some of the staff outside where being rude we paid our money just like tournament people so we should play when our tee time is up?
Love this Course
Los Lagos is a great local course. FOR the most part, it is well maintained and it's fun to play... challenging pin placement and the greens can be tricky, which keeps it interesting.
This time around the pace of play was slow, with back-ups on several holes... not just par 3s. I also noticed damage to a number of greens (likely from foxes) and one of the carts in our foursome had major steering issues. A few things to work on, but this is still one of my favorites, overall.
