Brickshire Golf Club

I've played Brickshire about 6 times now and keep making the 1/2 hour drive from Williamsburg to go back. Not only is the course great, they had a $2 beer special. For better golfers you need to play the blue tees at a minimum as Brickshire isn't a long course but boy is it fun. Lots of undulating with challenging par 3's. If I had any complaints it would be the cart return being down and around the back of the clubhouse. Also, the greens were slow but I imagine that's because of the lack of rain and not wanting to lose them as it's still only June.

Hit your driver with confidence and birdie chances are plentiful.

The course, with exception of the bunkers, was in excellent condition.

Played the course on Tuesday and it was in great shape from the tee to the greens. The staff was friendly and the pace of play was great. Got it for $31,00 on tee up and it was a definite steal at that price for 18 holes. If you are in the area I would highly recommend this course.

The course conditions were good considering how little rain we've had in the past two weeks. A few of gripes (1) the grill room was undergoing renovation, and the debris was piled in the front hallway and on the sidewalk in front of the main building making it difficult to enter unless one knows they can get to the pro-shop by going around the left of the building. (2) the pro shop doesn't sell any brand ball other than Srixon, and (3) there were no coolers or ice for purchased drinks which was wholly unacceptable for a day on which the temperatures were in the high 90s.

The course is looking great! Bunkers are hit and miss but things are really looking good.

I try to play Brickshire every month when I'm in Williamsburg. I just love the layout and challenge of this course. I don't think there's a flat lie anywhere--you have to be strategic in where you hit the ball to make sure it finishes in the right spot for the next shot. There are so many sloping fairways and elevation changes that you can't just aim for the center of the fairway, but rather have to think about the bounces and roll you'll get and then back into your line of play. I actually play pretty well here because I have to slow down and think through each shot--I love the challenge of this course and having to think my way around. The course was in excellent condition, with very fast greens. The only issues I had were the bumpy/beat up cart paths and the inconsistent sand in the bunkers. I was a single and joined two members and had a wonderful time and round. The staff is always wonderful and they put me out early (with the twosome) to get out in front of a group of 12...very thoughtful and very much appreciated. I'll definitely be back!

Course from in great shape from tee boxes to greens. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Looking forward to returning again

Course is one of my favorites in the atea. Play it evertime im in the area. It also great value.

This beautiful course is very hilly, and many fairways bend to the right. You hit the ball in the center of the fairway, and it rolls down the hill and disappears. I've never lost this many balls on a golf course. Yet, it's very beautiful. Several deer crossed my path. The staff were extremely helpful, even letting me start early to avoid the afternoon thunderstorm. And the price was extremely reasonable. I'll be playing it again. However, I don't recommend this course for beginners.

Course was fine. Staff friendly and accommodating. Only negatives were the driving range was closed as was the snack bar. Definitely worth playing.

I had played this course only once, but this round was just as fun as the first. The staff is very friendly and the range area is very nice. The course was in fabulous condition from tee to green.
