Brickshire Golf Club

Great course. Greens were a little rough, but the weather lately has not been kind. Course was busy, but the pace was normal.

Loved the course. We live in the community and tried it for the first time. Going in the evening for novices like ourselves was perfect as we didn't have to feel the pressure of golfers coming up behind us quickly. We enjoyed the course, saw a few deer having dinner on the sidelines while we golfed and in general had a great time--

My son-in-law and I played Friday morning. It was forecasted to be extremely hot...temps around 96 with heat index of 103! It felt that way about 5 holes in. The starter got us out about 10 minutes early, we played through on the turn, and ended up finishing in 4 hrs. The course is in great shape for such hot weather with very little rain overall. We did have a T-storm the previous night, so their bunkers held a little water and had eroded sidewalls; but overall the course was in great condition from tee to green. My SIL hits the ball a long way, but not always sure if it's going to be straight. With Brickshire's wide fairways (some 80-120 yards wide), it's a great course to work out any kinks. My daughter and SIL went back the next afternoon, because Brickshire offers a Summer Program for kids under 13 where they play free with a paying adult! For an 8 year old and a 6 year old, this was perfect! They only played 9 holes and there was no one out there. (It was after 3:00 on a hot day.) Their first experience on a "real course" was so exciting to them and both parents were able to help them have a fun and positive experience. Thank you, Brickshire! This is an exceptional program. I'm in Williamsburg once a month and make Brickshire a stop almost every month...I will continue to patronize them.

I've played Brickshire about 6 times now and keep making the 1/2 hour drive from Williamsburg to go back. Not only is the course great, they had a $2 beer special. For better golfers you need to play the blue tees at a minimum as Brickshire isn't a long course but boy is it fun. Lots of undulating with challenging par 3's. If I had any complaints it would be the cart return being down and around the back of the clubhouse. Also, the greens were slow but I imagine that's because of the lack of rain and not wanting to lose them as it's still only June.

Hit your driver with confidence and birdie chances are plentiful.

The course, with exception of the bunkers, was in excellent condition.

Played the course on Tuesday and it was in great shape from the tee to the greens. The staff was friendly and the pace of play was great. Got it for $31,00 on tee up and it was a definite steal at that price for 18 holes. If you are in the area I would highly recommend this course.

Love this course. Starting to brown in areas due to lack of rain this month. Greens in great shape.

The course conditions were good considering how little rain we've had in the past two weeks. A few of gripes (1) the grill room was undergoing renovation, and the debris was piled in the front hallway and on the sidewalk in front of the main building making it difficult to enter unless one knows they can get to the pro-shop by going around the left of the building. (2) the pro shop doesn't sell any brand ball other than Srixon, and (3) there were no coolers or ice for purchased drinks which was wholly unacceptable for a day on which the temperatures were in the high 90s.
