Myrtle Beach golf
Good for the price.
Grass was a little too long in the fairway.
Player Friendly
Played here 2-3 times in the last 5 yrs. This place is a friendly, fairly open place for a relaxing round. Greens are good, conditions are good and it's a good value.
Great Place, going back for sure.
Course was great, and the staff was too. Everyone we encountered was helpful and friendly. Course was in good shape, and this was after a terrible rain storm. Greens were healthy. Cart has GPS, which is helpful. My son and I enjoyed the Course very much. Not alot of water, which some of the courses nearby have. So made for fun play. Easy yo lose a ball in the rough, but if you stay in the fairway you will be fine.
We expected a nice course and it exceeded our expectations, especially the friendly staff.
We played Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday because we enjoyed the experience so much. As a added bonus, I lost my glasses on the course the first day and someone found them, turned them in and I got them back!
Jeremy was the first person we met dropping off our clubs. Super friendly, funny and very helpful. (He gave me back my glasses, so I was even more impressed).
Next we met Tim in the pro shop, again very friendly, helpful and quick. We had drinks a few days and Joy was the perfect server, we instantly felt we had know her for years.
Lastly, we spoke to Robbie, to let him know how happy we were with playing your course. He also was a fantastic ambassador for your club.
Thanks a ton, Mike Fitzpatrick and Dean Lindsay, a couple of Canadian golfers.
Good Value
You could tell that they had worked hard to improve the course and it showed. Great staff, from the club house to the starters. Female friendly course, which is nice.
As Sands
We played on a day where it rained most of the morning. Teed off at noon and course was in good shape.Greens were in excellent condition. Plenty of bathroom facilities on course. All in all, it was a pretty decent day!
Spectacular service
Had an amazing time at this course. Friendly staff, wonderful course, easy going pace. Everything I look for in a course. This will be my golf course of tradition from here on out. Thank you so much.
Slowest pace ever
Starter rushed us off to the tee box only to have to wait from the get go. Front nine took over 2 1/2 hours for our twosome. Pace time was -30 minutes. Called for a ranger to come out. No response
Azalea Sand
The word sand is in the name for a reason. Lots of sand bunkers that come into play but the sand is consistent enough to get up and down, which I did several times to save par. Great layout. Greens were a little slow but putts rolled true. Inside and outside staff were great, friendly. Starter gave directions since it was my first time playing but won't be my last. An excellent test for all levels of ability. I actually used a hybrid set of tees, both Blue and White, permitting a proper test of my level of ability, using the par 3's and the long par 4's as the measuring criteria.
Azalea Sands
The word sand is in the course name for a reason!!! But the sand is consistent throughout in green side bunkers. I was able to get up and down on four occasions and missed the par putt twice. Greens were slow but held their lines. Inside and outside staff were very friendly. Outside staff provided directions to the 1st, 10th and 18th holes and invited me to drive into the parking lot when completed to drop off clubs and gave directions for the cart return. Great layout. Played a hybrid set of tees, alternating between Blue and While tees to make the course playable fory skill level, especially par threes and the long par fours. A great experience, one I would recommend to other golfers.
