Azalea Sands Golf Course

Course is in rough shape. With recent rains etc place is pretty soggy! Greens are very bumpy!!!! Hopefully some better conditions will come soon as warmer, drier weather. Do enjoy playing this course but with full course cart path only it is not an enjoyable experience.

All in all for the time of year fairways were hard and no grass. Probably won't play it again this yr

Course was not overseeded on grees, fairways or greens. Greens had been rotocut and needed rolling, pace of play fine under 4 hours, friendly staff, pro apologized for greens conditions, they had been cut, but no rain, they looked awful but putted ok. A little wiork and rain it should be back in good shape.

Horrible course. Plugged greens, yhat were not advertised. Starter was the rudest one I have ever met in playing MB golf courses for 15 years. He just stared at me until I put cash in his hand. Must have been having a bad day. More sand than grass here, and haven't seen an azalea yet. I will never be back here again.

The review isn’t really accurate. When I pulled up it was crazy busy. I booked a 1227 tee time as a single. Starter said I was with a group of 15 guys and there was no space for me. They would not give a refund. I settled for a pass but I doubt I would go back. The practice green was a mess and the course was all brown. I will contact golf. Now and see abou a refund.

I hesitate to blame golf now or the course. I don’t know who screwed up

The course is in a lot better shape than when I played it 2 years ago… good value for the money

I used to be a pilot, so, playing a golf course next to an airport is distracting. Having signed up as a single there was a little difficulty finding a group for me to join. I played the back nine first with one other person. I was going to play the gold tees, but my playing partner mentioned that the white's were playing short.

The course is pretty open, with some lateral water that comes in to either narrow, or occasionally cut across a fairway. They mark the water with blue flags, so, even without GPS and not being a local you are able to avoid the water. Very fair for everyone. Fairways were dormant and ran well. Greens were well bunkered but left lines that you could run the ball up through if you chose to. For a flat course there was a lot of undulation on the greens which made putting interesting both for line and speed. Finished with 35 putts and shot 82 so, a fun four and a little hours. I would definitely play here again. Good folks (the marshal checked on us a couple of times and was very helpful), nice course, Pleasant grill for a beer after the round. You can't ask for much more than that.

My daughters first time playing 18 holes and we had a blast.

What a wonderful golf day we had at Azalea Sands! They accommodated my brother and I when another area course was grouchy about having to work on Christmas. Joy at Azalea Sands was amazing. She was covering the front desk and snack bar all by herself. She did so with class and a sincere desire to provide great service. The bag drop guy was super friendly too. As for the course, it has come a long way since my last round about 10 years ago. I love the ornamental grass plantings in the bunkers. I shot 69 on a cold day, a great experience I owe specifically to Joy and the great service at Azalea Sands! Tremendous value!
