Golfer Reviews
Staff great, Course needs improvement
Staff was great, but the course itself needs some major TLC. Its early in the year but I don't think that is a big deal in Myrtle Beach in April (so it should be better). Overall the course plays pretty easy.
First time
Good place to start out for the year. Primarily straight and forgiving. Some greens were too dried out and had sprayed on seed to renew them. Pace was a bit slow but not too bad. Cart girl came around only twice over 4+ hours of play, so that should be better. 19th hole was great and both bartender and not her staff member offered views on other, local courses to try. Good drinks were poured.
Course is ruff
Fairways and greens were in pretty bad shape. For an extra $20 I’d suggest going somewhere else if your looking to actually play golf the way it’s meant to be played. If your out with people that don’t play much golf ( like the ppl we were paired with) it’s a good place to just hack around
Fairly Easy Course for Beginners
Course has a links layout which IMO is easier for beginner golfers. I was out with my 14yo sin who is beginning his golf journey and he played very well. Course is not overly long( par 4s are like 325-395 yards.) making them not too overwhelming for shorter hitters. Long hitters will be rewarded with <100 into the greens. Clubhouse food was standard fare, prices were very reasonable and the service was excellent. When we went Juniors played free so that was a huge unexpected bonus.
Not good
Paid for 18 holes but could only stomach 9. Course is not in good condition.
Holiday golf
We met a nice couple so golf was quite social
It was good that the other couple knew the course so that we could figure out where to hit
The cart lady never made it to us so we were really thirsty
The back nine we got rained out - we got drenched and wet to the bone
Golf getaway
First golf getaway for me and my wife, she’s brand new to golf. We had a great time, course was wide open easy to find those errand shots… she parred a few 3s and a 4.. staff was great
Good Value. Poor Time Management
The course was nice for the value. Fun sand without being too difficult.
Pace of play completely came to a stop because they scheduled groups to start on the back nine as we were making the turn.
Spring Start
We played the course while on vacation with a group of 8 with a few new comers to the game of golf. The staff was great and the course was perfect for the group. You couldn't beat the price compared to alot of courses around. I would recommend and will be back next time in town.
