Very nice course
Enjoyed the experience, a very nice balance of mental and physical challenges.
68 yr old man
The pace of play was extremely slow but that's not the courses fault. Some people blame the course for slow play, they forget how bad they probably were when they started. Even the PGA players take 6 hrs to play a round, calm down and enjoy the day, every day on a golf course is a great day. The bag boys were courteous and the pro shop was great. Course in good shape.
Great place to play
We were on vacation and I took my boys with me which they played FREE which was amazing because it showed how much they care about the future of the sport and making it financially feasible for a parent to have some quality time with their kids. The course was beautiful and challenging and worth playing on at least once. If I ever find myself in the area again, I will definitely play here again!
Great Course, Scary Mutant Squirrels
Course plays well and very straight. Narrow fairways create a slight challenge. Now the squirrels that live throughout the course are something else. They stare deep into your soul and can sniff out a single grain of salt from a lays bag of chips left behind from the last victim. My buddy and I were lucky enough to not get attacked, now the single golfer riding behind us…not so much. As we stood on the next tee box we looked back and witnessed a grown man in distress. He drove the cart in circles just to live another day. Golf balls were being toss out of the cart at the massive monster with no desired effect. The beast eventually ran off and the single golfer rode off into the fairway and was never seen again….They also have really nice tee boxes.
Slow greens, temp green, no driving range
Played after lunch and the green fee compared to the state of the course does not match.
Poor Greens
The greens were rough and a couple were missing. Once we were putting to a flag that seemed to be in the middle of the fairway because you couldn’t tell it was supposed to be a green. Maintenance workers held up play several times as they were trying to cut grass between tee shots. Wouldn’t return unless we know things have improved!!
Great course
The only thing about this course that I could complain about was the pace of play (and that could be due to the extreme temperatures). The tee boxes and greens were well maintained (minus the reconstruction of hole 10 where you’re putting on the fairway). But the staff were friendly and the snack bar at the turn had A-1 hotdogs.
a work in progress
There is a lot of renovation underway at this course right now. Quite a bit of sand on the fairways. It was very hot and dry. Nice clubhouse.
Improved
Played here a couple years ago and it has definitely improved. Greens were nice but slow. Low cost and decent course for your average golfer.
Course
The greens were rough having just been aerated. The 10th hole green was part of the fairway. The conditions have improved over the last 2 years but there is more work to do to be a good course. Price is good for the course.
Slow Play
Course was in good shape. Cart guy would not let me take the cart to my car to load my clubs, even though I saw others doing it. Biggest complaint was that the course was way overbooked. About a 10-minute wait on every hole. Two guys in front of us were playing out of the same bag. Not sure where the marsjal was.
Great time
You can tell the new ownership is spending the time and money to get this course back in shape!
The fairways and tee boxes where in great shape. Greens had been recently plugged and rolled. Green we’re ferm and sandy, but very quick.
Had my son-in-law with me, his first time playing, any course in Myrtle, we both enjoyed the day! Starters and staff were very friendly, even the gentleman mowing around the greens that I almost hit!
Thank you! We’ll definitely be back!
Take care of staff, they will take care of you
We had a 9AMand the first team was pretty backed up. When we arrived, I gave the backdrop guys a small tip and They took care of us. We were allowed to go off the back nine. We played on a busy Monday in less than four hours. It's a solid layout and the course was in good shape. Play the blue tees if you are less than a 12 handicap. Much more challenging
