nice course
Because of weather conditions we were one of two groups on the course. Despite all the rain we had the nite before the course was in decent shape. They were willing to give us a rain check if we wanted. Challenging but not overly difficult.
great course for all skill levels
was wonderful to see the fall foliage. courses has numerous tees which will provide a challenge to all skill levels.
would recommend to anyone, even a beginner as well as a low handicap player. just enjoy it the way golf is supposed to be played.
Tight, Target and Old.
This is one of the oldest courses in the MB area and it shows. It is very tight with a dog leg on almost every hole. A driver can be used on about two or three holes but probably isnt needed. The course conditions were fair overall. No major complaints but nothing exceptional either.
The amenities were old and in need of updating. No real food in the at the grill only pre-made sandwiches and beer in a plastic cup.
Overall, it is a fun layout that forces good iron play. The base price is too steep for this course, especially condidering the local competition, but there are alot of deals available from Golfnow and others that make it a decent value.
Recommend you play it on the front end of your MB itenerary and you will appreciate the other courses much more.
Great course, must use every club in bag.
Staff was very friendly and helpful. Course is in very good condition. Only thing I did not like was the greens were to slow.
Beautiful and excellent shape.
I loved this course. It was great challenge for my game. Great price and will play it again next year.
Excellent Course!
We played 18 holes and the staff was wonderful and detailed about how to keep our group in step with the timing and other golf groups behind and in front o us. The course was very well kept and a nice challenge with the extensive water throughout the course. I would recommend this course to anyone going to the area!
Great value. Super Friendly Staff !!
Course was in great condition; some of the best greens I played all week. We got rained out at hole 13 and were given a rain check that doesn't expire. I go to Myrtle Beach every year and am looking forward to playing here again.
Good experience and course was in good condition
We had tee time around 8:30. Showed up early and were offered the chance to tee off early. We did and moved around the course with no delay. The course was in good condition and the greens were consistent.
NIce Challening Couse, But Poor Greens
Overal the course is quite nice and challenging. However, the greens were the worst greens I have ever putted on. The greens had not been cut in what seemed like weeks. It made attempting to read the greens almost impossible, and there was no telling where the ball would end up at the end of a putt. The grrens were so thick, the ball did not leave a ballmark to repair from your approach shot. Get a greens keeper, and you will have a nice course.
Great course for the money
Played in early August bd got a good deal at 40 bucks a person. At that price it's a great golf course. Well maintained, good scenery, challenging for someone at my skill level (shot a 101, I think). My family and I have been vacationing in litchfield for over 20 years. I don't see us stopping any time soon and I will be playing the course again.
Great Layout and Very Friendly Staff
We played Litchfield Country Club in the morning and even got off the first tee a little early. Pace of play was very good and we didn't have to wait on anyone. The Ranger came around to make sure that everything was going smooth. Would recommend this course to others going to the Myrtle Beach area. Very well maintained and we loved the layout. It's not a driver off every tee course and course management is a must.
