Pajaro Valley Golf Club
About
Originally designed by Floyd McFarkland, Pajaro Valley Golf Club has large Monterey Pines lining its generous rolling fairways. Elevated tees provide scenic views of the Pajaro Valley below. Opened in 1922 and redesigned in 1962 by Robert Muir Graves, the course features small bentgrass greens and four ponds with water in play on three holes. The fourth is one of the course's most challenging holes, a 420-yard par 4 with triple-tiered green. The course also was once the home of former U.S. Open champion Olin Dutra, who spent the last part of his career teaching here.

One bad apple
Looks to me like the same unverified golfer (u000006495049) seems to have left 12 separate reviews of this course in attempt to lower its rating. Seems very suspicious to me... Maybe they have a personal problem?
Contrary to what the overall rating says for this course, it is a fantastic place to play!
I played last week and there were zero daisies visible anywhere (fairway or rough) and the greens were in great shape!
Afternoon/evening rounds are incredibly peaceful! There is a lot of wildlife to enjoy, and I love courses with Monterey cypress trees!
The people in the golf shop (and even the cart guys) are the nicest of any golf course around!
Too many daises
Can’t find my ball in the fairway because there are too many daisies. Course in rough shape, tacky decor
Terrible Course
Course is in terrible shape. Huge trees fallen on the ground years ago and they don’t clean it up. Disgusting bathrooms. Rude staff. Very expensive considering you can pay less to play a course like Del Monte. Absolutely disgusting
I love this course
Greens a little isn’t and slow today but smooth and usually fastrr
Sorry for this
Came out to play this course never been out here. What a bad course it is. The course is in bad shape , the greens are horrible and the fairways well just leave it at that . Cheated a $100 to golf here in the morning . This course should be $50 . Unless you’re in a pinch then play it . Our 4some play all over . This course was available but not worth it very disappointed. Sorry for the r review but people shiould know .
Embarrassment
Course conditions are terrible, don’t waste your time or money here.
PV course renovation
Pajaro Valley golf course is an underrated beautiful Track but in Mediocre condition. It's my recommendation that PV transitions to a desert style naturalist/minimalist golf course with a Single line targeted irrigation system that can substantially shrink the manicure and irrigation footprint of the golf course. By transitioning to a naturalist/minimalist style golf course, PV will save the City water while simultaneously allowing the maintenance staff to MANICURE a smaller portion of the golf course and bring PV closer to resort quality to compete with Spring Hills, Seascape and Delaveaga on the Central coast
Exceeded expectations.
Definitely better than the reviews would have you believe; I was hesitant based on what I read but really enjoyed my round. There were some small flowers in the fairways, but it did not limit ability to find balls at all. There were a couple of greens where there were some issues (cost me a birdie on 18!) but only in several places. The bunker sand was perfect. The layout was interesting and entertaining, and the views of the slough were beautiful. Really nice pro shop with welcoming employees. Restaurant for lunch and beers was a great way to end the round. Worth the drive from the Peninsula.
Disappointed
I hear a lot of people calling this place a dump. You can play Del Monte for half the price.
