Canyon Lakes Golf Course & Brewery

course was over watered and a lot of muddy spots. overall in good shape.

Course seemed to be over watered and the greens where also over watered.

The course is mildly challenging with a couple tough holes and is kept in good condition for the area as far as public courses.

The onsite brewery and restaurant make this course a top pick for me. Food is really good and so is the beer. What more could you want?

For $60-$70 (including a cart) it’s tough to beat this course. The views are outstanding, the course is in pretty good shape. Short course but challenging in its own unique way. No driving range and not really a practice green to warm up, but other than that it’s a great course.

This course needs some groundskeeping love but overall the greens ran true and decently quick. Other areas of the course were playable but in need of work. Beer and food options are solid and all staff were friendly and helpful. Layout is interesting and this course uniquely has two of what I consider the hardest tee shots in the bay area (holes 7 & 14). Get the thai chicken wrap and try their beers!

Took almost 5 hrs to finish for me. We were held up by a groups of 12 who were all playing together. The duo I was paired with left after the 10th hole. Marshall did stepped in and tell them to pick up the pace, but end still have to wait that the duo behind me caught up . The white tee box are super beat up for a lot of holes. Specific to when I played, the back 9 has alot of wasps around the white tee so that was fun. This is a tough course for those who like a challenge with a lot of elevation changes. You will be punish not being on the fairway or slice on your driver. Green and fairway were in good condition. The draft beer at the brewery was dope tho.

Would’ve been a great round if the course wasn’t playing like a sloppy mess. Mud everywhere. It’s like they water the course for 12 hours straight at night. Tee boxes, fairways, greens were so wet and sloppy. Shoes and cart covered in mud. We’ve had 90-100 degree weather for weeks and then you show up to this. And this isn’t the first time I’ve experienced this. Last couple rounds have been like this here.

So , on the 1st tee the starter stated that they double book tee times. Wait...what ?? This is a difficult track and not kind to those people who are not really golfers ...like the groups around us that stated they only play 3 times a year . Why would you ever double book? So in the 100 degree heat we waited and waited every hole. By hole 16 , we had 2 groups drive by saying they were done " they had enough ". Should have had a Marshall enforcing pace of play.
