Canyon Lakes Golf Course & Brewery

It was a nice day for golf,so I thought I would take my husband out with me instead of laying around the house after his back surgery.I was very surprised when the lady in the office called me in on the loud speaker because he was in my cart and made me pay 20.00 for him(seriously he is 61 and thought it would be good for him to get some fresh air).Anywaywe still managed to have a good time regardless of that,he even caught a kingsnake on one hole and let it go closer to the creek area so no one would kill it.He is always going on how arrogant people are and they just kill everything they don't understand and this particular snake is as good as the come for any golf course.Not only does it kill mice,rats and gophers but also Rattlesnakes.Rattlesnakes are still good to have at the courses as they are instrumental in effectively killing the rodents that damage the course,people just need to learn that if they see one just give it space and it will continue doing its thing it wants no altercation with humans and only bites if provoked to defend itself otherwise it will steer clear of humans.

The. Purse was amazing it was challenging with a side of spectacular views. We picked up food which was disappointing but other than that great experience .

If it wasn’t for the Golfnow hot deal I probably wouldn’t play here. The greens were not in good condition with some areas unplayable. Only half of the bunkers have been maintained. The golf cart has a guidance system however almost shut down a few times while on the cart path..?? Hope they get the course In better shape as the location and views are nice.

Nothing is straight. Doglegs abound. Super layout and challenging. Fun to play. Couple of the greens are a bit rough and the pace was slow because of slow groups.

But a challenging fun course all around. The 19th hole is one of the best food around.

We will be back for more.

This was a great course and we were done in under four hours! The staff was amazing, as I forgot my range finder in the cart and they called me within 20 minutes.

The carts are fresh with GPS built in.

Excellent Course conditions.

Stay out of the weeds trying to find a ball, we had two ticks on us.

The course condition is terrible and the service is soooo slow we ordered the food at the 8 hole finish the 9 come to get our food we waited for 25 minutes before we got the food needless to say by now we were behind the 8 ball

Canyon Lakes Golf Course is a wonderful place to play to test all of your golf skills. Longer par 3 holes than the average courses, some narrow fairways, uphill shots, great course especially after our heavy rains.

Tee'd off early on a Saturday so we were unimpeded for pace of play. The course was a muddy mess on the front 9. Standing water in the fairway in many place. The back nine was better, but there were a few soggy holes on the back side.

Because they can't mow in many places due to so much water, I lost a few balls on good shots that were just off the fairway.

It looks like a fun course to play in drier conditions, and I'll likely try again in the summer. But at this time, it was a mess and not worth the price I paid.

Challenging layout, slow pace and its soaking wet and really muddy! I actually like the layout of this course, if you want to challenge your game. But I will wait for the summer time to come back and play again in this course. Its soaking wet and crazy muddy! And please, please! Clean all the restroom! Its pretty nasty and smells horrible!

Over 5 hour round. Marshall told us the play was slow but did little or nothing to improve it.

Expect to spend your whole day as the pace of play is bad but the course is a solid challenging layout with nice restaurant brewery
