Very enjoyable round

Fairways, greens, and the whole course was in top shape.

Course is in great condition and greens were rolling well! Struggled to keep the ball in play off the tee. Highlight of the day was hitting a three wood stiff on #15 from 240 out into the wind, and paid it off making the birdie putt from about six feet!!

Great course! Very scenic on most holes. A challenging course with interesting greens.

Played Maderas as kind of a warm up round to Torrey Pines. Obviously hard to beat Torrey’s scenery, but Maderas is hands down a more challenging & better maintained course: That’s not a knock on Torrey either, btw. Maderas greens were fast & true, fairways & tees were tighter than commercial carpet. Great layout & overall enjoyable experience.

I hadn’t played Mederas before but found it very challenging with risk and reward on a a few holes. You do have to play a few times as I lost balls that perhaps I would not have lost if I had more course knowledge.

Fairways tighten up on some holes, which means an iron or hybrid is a better alternative even though you will have a longer second shot.

Well worth playing!

Playing here for the first time it was awesome until the 8th hole when the Marshall warned our group we were 8 min behind pace of play. (1 min per hole)even though we were in a gap and the group behind us was on hole 6. Then on hole 12 Marshall comes up again says guys your still behind pace and we asked him where’s the group behind us that we’re holding up because we can’t see them as we still are in a gap with no one on the tee box waiting or pervious green behind us… At this point we felt rushed for no reason as no person at any point was waiting on us which really ruined the round. Great place I played all over the country never been rushed for no reason I know how to keep the pace of play and for a Marshall to be rushing you with no one behind you kills the day! Never will I play here again if you pay $185 and your in a gap with no groups waiting on you why should you ever be rushed and not allowed to enjoy the beautiful golf course as first time player???

You will not be disappointed as the greens rolled true and the course was in great shape!

Love everything about this course and highly recommend for sure. Just wish someone would have brought me my food and drinks on course so I didn’t have to stop and make the other twosome wait for me to pick it up.
