Maderas Golf Club

Teed off @ 8am - Fog hindered the round for first 5 holes. Good thing a regular player could guide us. Too many times the group of the sets of tee markers were together and further back. Lots of undulations, elevated shots, and a couple of holes that were just tight. Two par threes played over 225 yards from Whte tees. Pace was good considering waited most of the back nine...was still 4:08. Play M-Th as it is the right value @ $160 ish.

This is a hilly but largely shielded track that should be played on Tour. Fairways were wonderful and the greens were fast and pins fair.

I had seen the five star ratings and wanted to play Maderas.

I got a decent rate and used one of my discount codes.

After planting the course however I world have been happy paying double. Amazing course. Definitely some challenges, but the layout is terrific.

Course conditions are amazing.

Cart’s are new and have impressive tech.

Staff were knowledgeable and very attentive.

A Staff Member took my bag on arrival and got me set up with a cart. I checked in and the Staff member there showed me the facilities.

Range and putting green are top notch.

The Starter gave us some useful hints and advice for the course.

All in all a terrific experience. Well worth it.

Had a good time and Maderas Golf Club. Although the holes were bunched up, the layout was very nice, great scenery and layout.

My wife and I travel to check out out of state courses often. This course is in our Top 10 (so far).

Club rentals were pricey; which was expected. Paid $359 for a round (for 2), a hat and club rentals (1 set).

I recommend this course for novice to solid players. Hope you enjoy it. We certainly did!

I think this is one of if not the best public courses in SanDiego. I’ve only played here a few times, but it’s always been in great shape. The staff are friendly and attentive. You can get some fantastic deals with Tee Off. It’s a pricey place to play without a discount. Definitely will be returning to this place again and again.

Beautifully manicured course. Great layout and challenging. Greens rolled smoothly. Play was a little slow at 1 pm tee off.

This is a challenging course. You will need to use course management on about every hole.

Maderas is exquisitely designed, challenging but fair. Highly recommend playing here if it is within your budget. The place is over-the-top beautiful. Everyone we met during our round, from the valet to the starter to the people in the pro shop and the restaurant were very friendly, helpful and professional. Be sure to pick up your complementary yardage book in the pro shop before you start out. Pace of play is taken very seriously here, which I appreciate. Kevin the starter gave us great advice before we set out. Be sure to bring extra balls because they are $17 a sleeve in the pro shop, but don’t leave without getting a MAD hat. We can’t wait to come back to San Diego to play Maderas again. A PERFECT DAY.

Great layout and challenging green’s. A real golf course!

Course conditions and layout great as expected but green side bunkers could use fluffy white sand. Got a good deal on GolfNow but felt treated as an outsider. Expected to pay additional $5 at check in counter to unfriendly staff to pay for “club cleaner” at the end of your round. Would gladly give gratuity if outstanding service was rendered. Played with members who repeatedly hit additional shots (practice during the round) and even saw a 5some (what’s up with that?). Played with members who drove the cart to the parking lot at the end of the round???so I did the same to bring the golf bag to the car…was told by the “club cleaner”/cart return person that “I” can’t do that. Members only entitlement and snooty feeling all day. Otherwise had a great round from the blue tees.

Aside from 1 hole where the tees weren’t set up, Maderas is always worth the money!

Excellent course, challenging, fun, scenic, and priced right hope they don't change that or I would change my mind on value.

My wife and I had a great day on the course. Stunning views everywhere.
