About
Set in the heart of the Grand Strand's Lowcountry plantation area, Indigo Creek is laid out through large oaks and flowing creeks, especially the back nine, though the views have been somewhat spoiled by housing. The course is built over an old rice and indigo plantation with some nice elevation changes, lakes, waste bunkers and undulating greens. It's a Willard Byrd design, with Bermuda greens and a slope rating of 128.
Indigo Creek is another of those Myrtle Beach-area courses that fell into a disreputable state only to be saved by a new ownership group. One golfer who'd had a bad experience there described it after the refurbishment as the best-conditioned course in Myrtle Beach.
Indigo Creek isn't overly long at 6,744 yards (the shortest of its four sets of tees shortens to 5,921. It is an exciting course with an significant number of doglegs, bunkers and water. The back nine is set among giant oaks and gently flowing creeks.

Course not in great shape and pace of play was horrendous

We played behind a tournament so the pace was slow which is understandable. Will play again another day and hope the pace is better.

Extremely slow play
Very sprawling course. Slow play, but we were on vacation and not in a hurry. Very little grass. Had to move our balls to get a shot.

For the money - Great Value
First round of the season as Canadians :) We had a great time! Feedback is the blue tees we’re awful - felt ignored. But as other said fairways were not the best but playable :) We’d come back! Perfect for both the inexperienced and experienced :)

Maybe good years ago
Fairways were weeds and dirt. Greens hard. A bit overbooked

Good value
First nine (teed off on 10) was 2.5 hours but second nice (front) was open and it was late in the day so pace was a lot better. The course is not perfect but is very playable. Greens are starting to mature with a few rough patches and they ran true. We would definately play this course again.

Indigo was probably nice years ago. Needs work!!
Confusion at bag drop. Staff chatting with each other. Laid back. Course was in bad shape. Greens and fairways both!
Washrooms in disrepair. Doors locked in one! No Marshall. No drink cart.

Great round
Me and my friends got the special rate to play early in the day. The fairways and greens we’re in great shape, pace of play picked up during the round and staff was nice when we got there. Would go back anytime.
