About
Set in the heart of the Grand Strand's Lowcountry plantation area, Indigo Creek is laid out through large oaks and flowing creeks, especially the back nine, though the views have been somewhat spoiled by housing. The course is built over an old rice and indigo plantation with some nice elevation changes, lakes, waste bunkers and undulating greens. It's a Willard Byrd design, with Bermuda greens and a slope rating of 128.
Indigo Creek is another of those Myrtle Beach-area courses that fell into a disreputable state only to be saved by a new ownership group. One golfer who'd had a bad experience there described it after the refurbishment as the best-conditioned course in Myrtle Beach.
Indigo Creek isn't overly long at 6,744 yards (the shortest of its four sets of tees shortens to 5,921. It is an exciting course with an significant number of doglegs, bunkers and water. The back nine is set among giant oaks and gently flowing creeks.

Don’t waste your money
Terrible fairways. Golf cart rubbish! Needed to exchange after 3 phone calls to the clubhouse. Can’t tell where the rough starts & the fairways begin. This course could be a top notch course but clearly they won’t spend the $$ to overseed and mow properly. Green were lightning fast which made the day very frustrating with all that is wrong with the course. Won’t ever waste my money to play here.
Nice greens
The course has a nice challenging layout, and probably the best greens we played on all week. Unfortunately we found the fairways exceptionally hard and extremely hard to hit good fairway/approach shots on. Too bad, otherwise we would have given it a top rating.
The staff we interacted with were also all very friendly and helpful.

Not happy.
Was raining so called course 1 hrs before driving to course. Guy told me course was open with light rain..
Drove 25 miles to course only to find doors locked.

Great coure but poor conditiond
Great course but the fairways were in really poor conditions and the greens felt like playing on a billiard table.

haven't played here in awhile
This place was a joy to play , i didn't play all that well but had fun with my son and just enjoyed the day.
The course has some really nice designed holes.

A Little Scruffy
Played in early March. Fairways were thin, spotty grass and required playing the ball “up” Greens were
OK but again had multiple silver dollar sized dead or non intended grass strain spots in them. Range was awful. Bag drop person was excellent. Inside staff seemed like it was a WalMart check out without personal attention. But it was cheap using a Hot Deal and I got paired with some nice people that frankly made the day tolerable.

Greens in best shape ever Yo!
The greens are in the best shape I have ever seen them since I started playing here in 2015. I actually rolled a record low for me 24 putts in a recent round. They have done some work landscaping and added sand to some bunkers. They also:appear to be working on some chronic drainage. The staff has recovered nicely from the sudden loss of their long time pro AJ Sawyer in December..
