About
Set in the heart of the Grand Strand's Lowcountry plantation area, Indigo Creek is laid out through large oaks and flowing creeks, especially the back nine, though the views have been somewhat spoiled by housing. The course is built over an old rice and indigo plantation with some nice elevation changes, lakes, waste bunkers and undulating greens. It's a Willard Byrd design, with Bermuda greens and a slope rating of 128.
Indigo Creek is another of those Myrtle Beach-area courses that fell into a disreputable state only to be saved by a new ownership group. One golfer who'd had a bad experience there described it after the refurbishment as the best-conditioned course in Myrtle Beach.
Indigo Creek isn't overly long at 6,744 yards (the shortest of its four sets of tees shortens to 5,921. It is an exciting course with an significant number of doglegs, bunkers and water. The back nine is set among giant oaks and gently flowing creeks.

Not bad but sloooooooow
The course was pretty good shape. Fairways were good. Rough was ok. Bunkers not so great. Greens were smooth average pace. Pace of play was horrible. 5.5 hrs. Put us off the back behind 3 groups of very slow short hitting players. No ranger. Just hit and wait all day.

Course was not in good shape. Greens were terrible
Did not think much of this track for the money. Nice staff but i have played other tracks that were ten times nicer

Beautiful course, but greens need work
The greens looked nice, but they were so slow it was really distracting from the nice fairways and layout.

Indigo Creek
From the drive up to the exit we were very unimpressed. The course was in poor condition, traps were filled with weeds and water and the fairways were in awful shape.
The clubhouse was rundown and I would not ever return even though it’s 1 mi. from my house.

fun course
played here in 7/2/22
course was a fun little track. played back tees and staff was great. greens were a little long and some were rough. had to really hit the ball hard to make putts, just wasn’t use to how slow there were at first. back nine was definitely better than the back. good value would play again

Indigo is not one of the top rated courses on the Strand. But what you get for your $$ can't be beat.
We have been Snowbird members since 2010 and have never been disappointed.
Pace of play, because of the popularity of the course, can be an issue at times. Work around the tee times of the leagues, especially the men's league.
The staff, from the pro shop to the restaurant to the on course staff are friendly and helpful.
Course is always in "good winter condition" when we play.
We wouldn't even think of going any place else.
