About
Set in the heart of the Grand Strand's Lowcountry plantation area, Indigo Creek is laid out through large oaks and flowing creeks, especially the back nine, though the views have been somewhat spoiled by housing. The course is built over an old rice and indigo plantation with some nice elevation changes, lakes, waste bunkers and undulating greens. It's a Willard Byrd design, with Bermuda greens and a slope rating of 128.
Indigo Creek is another of those Myrtle Beach-area courses that fell into a disreputable state only to be saved by a new ownership group. One golfer who'd had a bad experience there described it after the refurbishment as the best-conditioned course in Myrtle Beach.
Indigo Creek isn't overly long at 6,744 yards (the shortest of its four sets of tees shortens to 5,921. It is an exciting course with an significant number of doglegs, bunkers and water. The back nine is set among giant oaks and gently flowing creeks.

Indigo Golf Review
Course needs work. Rain may help but greens and some fairways need work.

Grass on the greens and fairways was just starting to come in so there were areas where the grass was thin.

This was a quick unplanned business trip to Myrtle Beach so there was little time to book a couple of rounds. Luckily, we found an early tee time at Indigo one day.
We were paired with a couple of younger local players that were similar to my skill level and it was a pleasure playing with them (as you all know, the unknown pairings don't work out sometimes). They gave invaluable local based information about good places to eat near Murrells Inlet!
Additionally, they shared lots of information about the course and gave insight regarding its condition and history. The sand traps had not been raked (some in a while) but the sand was very playable the couple of times I found one. The tee boxes, fairways and greens we all in good shape and despite the dense housing in some spots, it felt like we were on a much more remote course. In the Charlotte, NC area, many courses seem to have developed a fear of trees (and miscellaneous shrubbery) and they are removing far too much greenery in the interest in speeding up play. Indigo has just the right amount of trees and the surrounding homes have very well maintained yards filled with growth so it felt much more comfortable than might be expected.
Upon our arrival, the golf attendant was very helpful, courteous, professional and seemed genuinely grateful for the couple of dollars we gave him for his assistance. The clubhouse had all the necessary libations and also had real sugar Sundrop and Cheerwine in the bottle for just two bucks. Get one or the other (or both!) if you have never had one.
Obviously it is not like some of the courses for $85 or more that can be found in the Myrtle Beach area but it was priced just right. So if you love the game and playing some interesting holes (and you are not a golf snob), this is certainly a course worthy of a try.

Poor condition
Not recommended for Sping play. Fall course was in better shape.
Nice and getting better
The course has improved since last year. I could tell they were working hard to improve the fairways and especially the greens. I enjoyed the layout, challenging and reachable for a senior.

Worth It!
Wasn’t expecting too much for how cheap it was so was really pleasantly surprised! The staff was super friendly, the course looks to be on track for the time of year! Will definitely play again!

Welcome to Sc
Just moved earlier in the week to SC and was looking to play a round of golf and relieve some moving stress. Indigo Creel was the answer. Felt relaxed from the time I arrived at the club drop off spot to the two great playing partners I was attached to. Course was tough but fair and will definitely be back again!!!

Very Dry
This was a nice layout. Played from the Gold tees, but because there was so much roll, I had to tee off with the 5 wood on several holes. The layout is pretty tight and keeping the ball straight is key. Conditions were very dry and sparse except the greens which appeared to be the only irrigated item on the course. My theory is that all of the non-premium courses are keeping the irrigation to a minimum to keep mowing costs down because fuel prices are so high. Pace of play was fine. No beverage cart. Got paired with some fun people. Had a great round despite the sparse conditions. Have played several courses this week and conditions were what you can get for the price. Would play here again for the same $50 price.

The Marquis de Sade Must've Designed This Course!!!
Utterly ridiculously difficult course that even a pro golfer would have trouble on. WAY too many sand traps, water, trees, bushes. excessively long holes, and what seemed like sinkholes.
Bring PLENTY OF BALLS, if you attempt to play here.
