About
Set in the heart of the Grand Strand's Lowcountry plantation area, Indigo Creek is laid out through large oaks and flowing creeks, especially the back nine, though the views have been somewhat spoiled by housing. The course is built over an old rice and indigo plantation with some nice elevation changes, lakes, waste bunkers and undulating greens. It's a Willard Byrd design, with Bermuda greens and a slope rating of 128.
Indigo Creek is another of those Myrtle Beach-area courses that fell into a disreputable state only to be saved by a new ownership group. One golfer who'd had a bad experience there described it after the refurbishment as the best-conditioned course in Myrtle Beach.
Indigo Creek isn't overly long at 6,744 yards (the shortest of its four sets of tees shortens to 5,921. It is an exciting course with an significant number of doglegs, bunkers and water. The back nine is set among giant oaks and gently flowing creeks.

Course was nice
Golf course was cart path only due to the excessive rainfall recently. It was still very playable and in good shape for early in the season. I would play it again.

Course is rough, just like my game. Needed to get out. Standing water on some fairway and most bunkers.

course in very poor shape
Have played this course twice in January and the course was in very bad shape. couldn't ride in the course because it was totally saturated and some of the fairways had shallow ponds on them. Many of the sand-traps were also filled with water.Greens were BALD and wouldn't hold a ball - very difficult to putt on rough bald greens. Even the fairways could use a lot more work. With some serious work this course could be much more enjoyable.

Keep it in the fairway!
Course was very wet on a cold day. Keeping the ball in play avoiding creek water, was quite a challenge. Fairways have been over seeded and green. Greens were not but putted pretty well for this time of year. Cart path only requires quite a bit of walking. Between cold weather and wet grounds golf ball not traveling very far getting to greens in regulation was quite a challenge. Will play again several times during my stay in Myrtle Beach.

$30 - Sunday Round
You get what you pay for. $30 last minute hot deal round. The course is a bit rough, but the least expensive I could find in the area.

Staff doing a great job around COVID-19 Issues
It’s been challenging for the course management of late due to staff and members testing positive for COVID-19. They are working around things as best they can and keeping the course open and in good shape. They recently overseeded the fairways and the greens are in pretty good shape overall. The course is a great value for most golfers, especially beginners or newbies. They have both regular men’s and women’s groups that are welcoming to new members. They have scrambles most Saturday mornings and bimonthly nine and dines on Saturday afternoons.

Greens need so love
Course layout is picturesque but greens are slow and in bad shape. Need some aggressive care
