Scholl Canyon Golf & Tennis Club

It's a short course. Mostly par 3's so you can imagine it getting backed up quite a bit. Front 9 is extremely easy and short. Back 9 has it's challenges and pace of play is slightly quicker. I really enjoyed the back 9 now that I think about it. It has one of the best views of downtown LA. Good for a casual day of golf practice.

Its a short course. Could finish all 18 holes in a couple hours or less depending on speed of play. Back 9 is a bit more fun than the front 9 and also has better views of DTLA. I had a good time and practiced well with my short game. Greens were pretty fast and well maintained. I would play this course 2x back to back or at the very least try to spend time before and after at the range.

Course is great for iron and wedge practice. Management of the course needs improvement. Course is scheduled to open online @ 6:30am however gates weren’t open until 7am. Meanwhile big line builds up while tardy employee is rushing to open. Only benefit of this day was that I was able to set the pace thanks to the golfers being understanding and swapping times to avoid a twosome being stuck behind a four some. Would’ve enjoyed the round more if I was able to warm up by hitting some balls instead of sitting in my car for 45 minutes.

This course allows people of all levels to play alongside one another. There's good in that; if you have much patience. After covid era golf popularity has made golf courtesy and IQ Nearly non existing. Way too many people do not repair ball marks, fill divots, or rake bunkers. That is shameful.

Can't blame the staff- but get a Marshall out there, please!???

If you want a single unusable men’s toilet overflowing & covered with p**p for 2+ hours, this is your golf course!

11:30am - The single men’s toilet is overflowed to the top, both tp rolls are empty, there’s a small trash next to the toilet for paper towels which are clearly being flushed. Unusable, we inform staff & play the front 9.

2pm - Finish front 9, go to bathroom & single toilet still overflowed to the brim, but was clearly plumbed because there is literal p**p water everywhere - visible brown water on the seat, small pieces of p**p on the floor surrounding the toilet. Both tp rolls are still empty, but the trash is still there for paper towels. Grabbed a bunch of paper towels and used the trash bin. Not a proud moment. I inform the pro shop again.

4pm - Finish 18 & toss my p**p covered shoes on the trash outside the pro shop, bummed I’m out $80 for a new pair. Not bringing those into my house. When I told Sloan at the front desk & asked if there was anything they could do, she told me “nothing” (expected) - but then told me I was lying about the bathroom. That was not expected.

So not only did I get to squat over a toilet covered & surrounded with literal brown p**p water & no tp, but then I get called a liar about it! Fun.

I’m out a pair of golf shoes & will not be returning to this course. Extremely disappointing. Something tells me management wouldn’t approve of what happened today, but who knows.

I play this course all the time, but the pace was awful today because we had a group of 7 influencers in front of us today, filming content and taking multiple tee shots without asking if our 2-some wanted to play through and then when we asked if they minded waiting to tee off so we could skip to the next hole, acted like we were being rude. Don’t let a group of 7 play together when it’s busy

there are no Marshall. Seems like most players are beginners or 1st time here. Players are turn around another 9 hole without notifying. It’s was my 1 time and I had least 2 times 2 group (1 of them 3 and 2nd time 4 some just cut through and not say anything and start teeing up and hitting. people pick up ball whatever is on their way. And I see lots of people asking looking their balls. Pro shop lady (I did it get her name) kind of rude. I will not come back to this course and I will Not recommend this course to anyone I know or asks.

To me, this course is perfect to play between chanllege rounds. Chance to keep up short game and few long teeshots yet it does not take up too much time or over work my old body. Very enjoyable and relax round.
