Morongo Golf Club at Tukwet Canyon - Legends Course
About
Morongo Golf Club at Tukwet Canyon offers two 18-hole championship courses, the Legends and the Champions. Nestled in the foothills of the San Gorgoncio and San Jacinto Mountains, both courses have a scenic landscape that offers stunning views. The Legends Course is the newer of the two but it provides just as challenging a game as the Champions, which is a PGA Tour favorite. The Legends twists and turns through the winding elevations, demanding accuracy throughout. Like its sister golf course, there are numerous steep-lipped bunkers treacherously placed along the greensides. The rough is also tall, thick, and unforgiving. The tricky par-3 fourth hole is played from the highest point on the property. From the tee, the canyon seems more intimidating but the wildly sloped green is where the challenge begins.

Really like this course!
My first round here and I really enjoyed it. The condition of the tee boxes, fairways and roughs are some of the best I've seen in the last several months. The greens were consistent with moderate speed and generally in good shape but not as good as the rest of the course. They seem to have an underlying brown look, not a bright green like the rest of the course. Anyway the greens still played well.
I love the layout! There are several "blind" tee shots so their great GPS screen is definitely needed for a first time player.
I had a 1:10 tee time and wound up on my own. I finished in 4 hours. I'll definitely be back!
A must play
Best condition of any course in inland empire.
Wish it was closer but worth the drive. Greens fast and true.
Played legends. Will certainly play again and highly recommend. Decent rate for seniors. The Standard other courses should strive to reach
Definitely playing this course again!
First time playing this course, I gotta say I will definitely be playing here again. The only thing I didn’t like was the late start and it’s understandable cause of the frost! Other than that the course play was pretty fast. At least during my experience. It was challenging that’s why im impressed I shot an 89 lol.
You will not find a better course to play for $35
It was a very windy day when I played Legends course at Tukwet with a buddy. There were not very many people there besides us but I thought the course was very nice. It is a challenging course with many blind shots but take advantage of the touch screen GPS in the golf cart. They are very helpful and high tech. If you drive to close to the green the golf cart knows and will cut your power until you drive away from the green. They do have some construction going on near by with heavy equipment kicking up dust and making noise but that can only ruin your day if you let it. You would be hard pressed to find a better course to play for $35 and if you know of any let me know!
Construction around golf course
The course was in decent condition the day we played, but new housing construction was on along some part of the course, causing a lot of dust and pollution.
Drove 1hr 1/2 TO BE TOLD THEY DONT TAKE CASH . WHEN I BOOKED IT SAID NOTHING ABOUT CARDS ONLY. PRO SHOP EMPLOYEE WAS NOT VERY NICE ABOUT TELLING US.
Conditions improving
Both courses are looking good. Greens are in nice condition while the fairways are greening up. Looks like they have done some grooming on the bunkers. Lots of fun and a great challenge.
The bunkers need work
The bunkers were nothing but hard dirt and rocks. This was recently fixed at the Champions course, but it could have been because they were holding a tournament on that course. If they could take care of the bunkers I would rate it much higher
