Morongo Golf Club at Tukwet Canyon offers two 18-hole championship courses, the Legends and the Champions. Nestled in the foothills of the San Gorgoncio and San Jacinto Mountains, both courses have a scenic landscape that offers stunning views. The Legends Course is the newer of the two but it provides just as challenging a game as the Champions, which is a PGA Tour favorite. The Legends twists and turns through the winding elevations, demanding accuracy throughout. Like its sister golf course, there are numerous steep-lipped bunkers treacherously placed along the greensides. The rough is also tall, thick, and unforgiving. The tricky par-3 fourth hole is played from the highest point on the property. From the tee, the canyon seems more intimidating but the wildly sloped green is where the challenge begins.

Stay far far away

Absolutely ridiculous, the course is not maintained whatsoever. The greens are horrific, fairways and tee boxes have grown out of control and will not comment on the disgusting sand traps. Service and personality is a zero rating. I played this course a long time ago and it was stunning. Such a great layout, the Morongo folks that bought this course should be ashamed of themselves.

NOT WORTH THE MONEY$

For the price $70.00 we expected much more. Construction everywhere, dust was so bad. The rough just 4 feet off the fairway was so horrible, long with sections of hard flat dead grass. The tee boxes, oh boy the tee boxes, not good. The greens are not kept up, same with the bunkers (full of weeds). We will not be playing this course again.

Hit’m straight

Large but firm greens. Stay on the short grass, roughs tall and thick. Extremely difficult finding your ball in the rough.

Good couse

A bit delayed due to one team but the course is good and well managed. Construction is done yet right beside the course, makes dust a bit.

Saturday disappointment

Disappointing round of golf mainly due to a foursome in front of us. I was told by staff they were tribal members that didn’t have a tee time but somehow they were able to cut in front of our foursome. They had a huge ice chest and at least a case of beer. They played from the blues and all four had to hit at least 2 balls on each hole. We played a 5 hour round of golf that if not for the foursome in front of us we would have easily finished under 4 hours. Also the construction around the course makes playing here a nightmare very disappointed.

Horrible

Do not hit your drives more than 5 yards off the fairway because you will not find your ball! Dead mowed grass is everywhere. Do not land in the sand traps because you will end up in a weed patch growing in the sand! Excavation noise everywhere! I hear it used to be a greatPGA course, but not anymore. Save your time and money and play elsewhere

Tukwet

We have been playing many courses during the Covid period and this place by far is the worst with regards to over reacting to the virus. Used to be one of our favorites but not any more!

COVID-19

Course has benefited from being closed, greens were in excellent condition. Rough was long without a second cut, lot of cutting's overlaying some rough. Will be nice they reopen the range and practice facilities. Round took 4.5 hrs to play, only one course open..

The course was great but they need to remove the excess grass where they cut from the rough in the where that overgrown it makes it very difficult to find your golf ball.

oh well

Where do I start. Finding the course was difficult, no signage on the drive in directing us where to go.

Helpful staff, there were no hole number signs at any of the holes except at #1 & 9. The way the cart paths wound around the course it"s amazing we didn't get lost due to the lack of signs directing us where to go. The construction around the course made for a not so pleasant experience. You can have the front nine, back 9 felt much more like a golf course, no houses and no construction. We were not told by any staff that most of the bunkers were more like swimming holes, and at one point we literally had to drive our carts through the flooded cart path. The course was in ok shape, very rolly polly greens.

Decent price but due to construction course was bad

They are building houses on the course and the cart paths are all over the place because of this. There is a lot of mud and flooded areas. The grass is pretty torn up and sand traps are not maintained at all. There are some good tee boxes with views but overall for $35 a round in afternoon I was not impressed.
