Morongo Golf Club at Tukwet Canyon offers two 18-hole championship courses, the Legends and the Champions. Nestled in the foothills of the San Gorgoncio and San Jacinto Mountains, both courses have a scenic landscape that offers stunning views. The Legends Course is the newer of the two but it provides just as challenging a game as the Champions, which is a PGA Tour favorite. The Legends twists and turns through the winding elevations, demanding accuracy throughout. Like its sister golf course, there are numerous steep-lipped bunkers treacherously placed along the greensides. The rough is also tall, thick, and unforgiving. The tricky par-3 fourth hole is played from the highest point on the property. From the tee, the canyon seems more intimidating but the wildly sloped green is where the challenge begins.

Overpriced bad conditions

Tons of surrounding construction, grading for track homes surrounding the entire course. Rough was very high and Almost I Playable the fairways were jacked. Greens were spotty and not great. For the money it’s a bad course. Probably won’t be back. Cool views from the club house and cool practice greens though.

Legends Course

My stars would have been higher if not for the pace of play as a result of the staff allowing a fivesome ahead of a twosome. In addition, there is quite a bit of construction going on which has effected conditions. Greens and fairways were in very good shape.

Looks great

Nice looking course, some areas had been watered too much. Greens looked great. Course always gives a good challenge to any level of player.

Birthday day round

The course is fair but the other course “Champions” is better in my opinion. When we booked the tee time I was unaware of all the construction ON and Around the course. If I would of known we would of play elsewhere. Probably won’t be back to play this course until it’s not under construction.

Slow, slow, slow

I love this course, but a five hour round on a weekday afternoon is not acceptable. This is the second slow round for me at this course. I know times are tough, but surely the management can do something; if not, frustrated golfers will go elsewhere.

The course was in great shape

Course staff were able to sustain social distance and provide customers with needed liquids with having a drink cart running between holes. Restrooms were open and we had a very good outing

First time playing Tukwet Legends course. I’m not impressed by the layout. Bunkers were in terrible condition as wild grasses and weeds were all over. I believe if management maintains and pays attention to details, this course is a must play.

Pace of play and condition not worth the price...

I genuinely enjoy the layout and challenging nature of both courses. With that being said, I booked here last week and one of play was an issue AGAIN.

The staff neglected to mention that there was a tournament booked in front of us. And with covid being an issue, only one course is playable at the moment. It took over an hour to complete 3 holes. There was no Marshall, and when I called in to ask if they could send someone out to speed the group holding everyone up, I was told “No. We’re understaffed, and can’t help. Try talking to them.”

For $70 on a weekday afternoon, I expect A LOT more than having to wait and skip holes because the course doesn’t have a Marshall. I’m pretty disappointed with my experience and don’t think I’ll be playing here again.
