Garbage
This is easily the worst golf experience I have had in I don’t know how long and I play a few rounds a week. Had a 10am tee time and arrived to an hour long frost delay. I understand they can’t control that. The pace of play was at a snails pace. Waited on every tee box 5-10 minutes. The fairways and greens were in horrible shape. They claimed they had a fungus over a year ago and they were “just starting to come back”. If this is the case, they must have been horrendous a year ago. After the front taking nearly 3 hours I decided not to make the turn with the combination of slow play and terrible course conditions.
Glenn Ivy review
Glenn Ivy is a great layout for golf. However, with the price for playing there at $120 on the weekend I think is steep. There were several greens that had bear spot in them plus hole # 5 had a mix of patched grass and bear spots. That hole must be a problem because it’s been that way for a very long time. The course fairways and rough was very good, however it just pricing that concerns me. A bit over priced
Don’t waste your time or money STAY AWAY from this course
As others reviewers have stated the course is just a cash grab. The schedule tee time away too close and no marshals doing anything about pace of play. Unless you’re the first ones out for the day get ready for a 5:15-5;30 round. Constantly 1 to 2 foursomes waiting at every tee box. Unless you don’t value your time there are better courses out there with comparable prices.
Greens are diseased.
Used to love this course.
Fairways are in bad shape. Barely any turf.
Too many greens are diseased.
Pace of play is a disaster even very early.
The layout is fun. What a shame it’s in such poor shape.
Perfect weather and beautiful course!
Players had great time and will be back again soon.
nicer course
green was much improved, looks much better than last time i was here. only problem is book too many people , so much behind. 2 guys we are playing with, after 2nd hole had enough, told us they are quitting and will ask money back and left. start with 45 minutes delay, tee time was 12;46pm, so we actually start 1:20pm and only played up to 12 holes. i called them earlier while i was driving will be late about 5 minutes, they told me everyone will delay anyway, so give us 20% discount, but while i was in counter he changed his offer and only gave us 10% discount. but the course was very nice.
Course is great.
Very nice a view and course condition.
I love this golf course.
greens-beverages
overall not a bad course. there were a fews greens that were horrendous. also the beverage cart was very expensive. $7 a beer(Ultra), come on man! .for the 2 beers i bought i could have bought an 18 pack.. There are other local course that offer specials $13 for 6 ultras. I guess that why people sneak beverages in because of the nightclub prices. If you did have a special the cart girl did not let us know. The only reason i might be back is because my regular golf partner could not make it this time and he want to try it.

I haven't played Glen Ivy in two years, and have to say my experience yesterday was not good. The weather was perfect and the employees at the course were terrific. The pace of play, on the other hand, was awful (5-1/2 hour pace). The other issue was the condition of the greens. Several greens were literally spliced together with chucks of sod. The right thing to do would be to give a discount for the conditions (vs full price), or provide a warning that several greens were in disrepair.
Ice Delay
I don’t ever write a review on a golf course but I felt this one deserved one. They had a ice delay and pushed everybody back a half hour. But that was no reason to rush everybody out so everybody had to wait on every single hole I almost wanted to walk off in the second hole and get my money back. But I called the Front Dess and asked him to slow everything up I said I would rather wait 10 or 15 minutes now then wait all day on every hole they said they could see what they could do and nothing was done. Not to mention I saw the cart girl on the second hole and then have not seen her the whole entire time until the 17th hole. I guess that’s what I get for picking a place so far from home on a Saturday to play golf for the first time there. Maybe during the week would be OK but I wouldn’t recommend playing there on the weekends.
Frost delay every day
Fun course but there is a new superintendent that closes for a 2 hour frost delay everyday. If you do play this course, you must plan to tee off 2 hours after your tee time and play a 6 hour round because everything gets jumbled. 70 degrees and sunny at 7:00 am but a frost delay until 8:30-9:00? Seems like the new super is on a power kick.
Greens are back
Course is in great condition and the greens are getting back to good shape
Glen Ivy is a slice of heaven
Great course
Challenging but fun
Beautiful views
Well maintained
Looking forward to playing here again
