Golfer Reviews
Beautiful Course but questionably managed
Quite overpriced and extremely backed up but one of the best course layouts I’ve ever seen with gorgeous views.
couple ugly greens fungus
Try to renew My annual Gold card. Spoke to Kyle ,Antonio ,Jeff. Nobody could help me. They said Joey Chang golf pro was the only one that can help me. So I went down to meet him in person. Turns out he was feeling sick did not show up for work they say? Everyone seem very flaky and unprofessional.
6 Hour rounds
Started @ 2:56. With the sun setting at 7, figured we could get at least 15 in. Took us 4.25 hours to get through 12. Guy in pro shop is snobby, thinks he’s a touring pro.
Course in Terrible Condition
Golf course is in terrible shape! Some of the greens were unplayable and looked like they were pieced together. Lots of brown spots in the fairways. There was severe flooding in several of the tunnels that we had to use to get to several holes. Maybe a water main broke, but there was a lot of water running down the paths. Our cart died on us in the middle of the fairway on hole 8. After switching it out, the next cart kept turning off on us. It was related to issues that they were having with the GPS. GPS needed to be reset in the carts since they reflected old flag positions. The carts were worn and dirty. I was assigned a cart with torn seats and had to request a better one before we started. The signature 18th hole no longer has the beautiful orchards. This place was not worth the $100+ green fee. I was very disappointed. There are way too many beautiful courses to play in the I.E. and they seem to have let this place go.
Terrible experience
4 day trip to SoCal... Inland Empire. Played this course on my way out of town and should have skipped it. I understand dynamic pricing, but $119 for this course is outrageous. Clover and fescue in the fairways, ankle deep rough, a few dead greens, and mud everywhere from broken sprinklers and pipes. Awful. Add to that a very stern and gruff front desk attendant. My Sunday morning 752 tee time was finally able to tee off at 8:18 - no idea why the delay.
Totally not worth the charge or the limited hype. And I LOVED the trees and mulch in the middle of the fairways.....
Glen Ivy
Great course layout. Greens still recovering from fungus. 5th green soon to be a temporary for at least a couple of months while it gets sodded.
Pace and play
Very disappointed in the staff trying to push my tee time back from 12:08 to 12:45 because they over booked and put a tourney in front of my foursome. That’s ridiculous. They should’ve called me ahead of time because if I knew that was going to be the case… I would’ve not even played. They didn’t even discount my green fee or anything. Course is in horrible state for a green fee of $100. Greens were supposedly fixed and they were in horrible condition.
Garbage
This is easily the worst golf experience I have had in I don’t know how long and I play a few rounds a week. Had a 10am tee time and arrived to an hour long frost delay. I understand they can’t control that. The pace of play was at a snails pace. Waited on every tee box 5-10 minutes. The fairways and greens were in horrible shape. They claimed they had a fungus over a year ago and they were “just starting to come back”. If this is the case, they must have been horrendous a year ago. After the front taking nearly 3 hours I decided not to make the turn with the combination of slow play and terrible course conditions.
Glenn Ivy review
Glenn Ivy is a great layout for golf. However, with the price for playing there at $120 on the weekend I think is steep. There were several greens that had bear spot in them plus hole # 5 had a mix of patched grass and bear spots. That hole must be a problem because it’s been that way for a very long time. The course fairways and rough was very good, however it just pricing that concerns me. A bit over priced
Don’t waste your time or money STAY AWAY from this course
As others reviewers have stated the course is just a cash grab. The schedule tee time away too close and no marshals doing anything about pace of play. Unless you’re the first ones out for the day get ready for a 5:15-5;30 round. Constantly 1 to 2 foursomes waiting at every tee box. Unless you don’t value your time there are better courses out there with comparable prices.
