Glen Ivy Golf Club

The only good part of the course were the bunkers...excellent sand. Tee boxes, fairways and greens were in the worst shape I've ever seen. They had 4 temporary greens and the greens we played on were like putting on shag carpet, super slow and uneven. They said they're working on the course but it's gonna take 3-5 months before it's decent. Save your money!!!!

course layout is great. The GREENS ARE TERRIBLE!!! I REPEAT " GREENS ARE TERRIBLE!!! They tell you only a few holes are bad. Not true, all greens are bad. They need to shut this course down and focus and fix greens. The discount price is not worth it.

We totally got scammed at this course.. They charged $50 because their “greens had a fungus infection”… had no idea until we got to the course.

The staff said it wasn’t going to be that bad.. but literally the greens were unplayable. Sand, dirt, uncut grass.. i dont understand why the course doesn’t shut down until it’s all fixed as opposed to charging people $50 to still play without really knowing what’s happening.

Also, on 4 holes, we were backed up by 5 groups.. When we told the marshall he said he was going to talk to the front groups.. but nope. 6 hour round of golf. LOL. Never coming bsck here again.

Stop scamming golfers… how can you run a golf eatablishment like this?

We brought a guest from Korea remembering how this course used to be but was deeply disappointed with the conditions of the course.

A lot of the greens were just patches of sand and not cut.

Most times felt like we were putting on a really slow and bumpy carpet.

There was no point in lining up for a putt since the ball would bounce all over the place.

Fairways and roughs were unkempt and many of the times unplayable.

Pace of play was very slow with the par 3s sometimes having 4 teams backed up.

Do not get tempted by the reduced cost.

Do yourself the favor and pay a few more bucks to play at another course.

I was worried like many others who said Glen Ivy was in terrible condition. I expected the worst, but it wasn’t too bad. The tee boxes and fairways were normal, it was just the greens.

We played 09/18 Saturday and there was only one temporary green on hole 5. I am guessing the conditions improved since last week?

The greens were a lot worse on the front 9, with there being a ton of patches on the green. Bad, but not terrible.

The back 9 was much better.

Overall, for $60, its a fair deal. Here are pictures to show the actual conditions!

This course used to be great, during covid I guess they decided the course no longer required any maintenance. Just stack as many groups on per day as you can and laugh all the way to the bank. 4 groups on the tee box at a time waiting on par 3’s. On top of that greens are the worst I’ve ever seen anywhere, golf minus putting for $60 +. Do yourself a favor, go to dos Lagos or Eagle glen right down the street.

Half the greens were closed due to fungus. Temp greens were a flag in the fairway. Disappointed GOLFNOW did not mention this on the app.

They tell you when you pay that 4 greens are temporary. ALL the greens were horrible. None of them had been mowed, they were extremely bumpy. Most holes, we didn't even take our putters to the green. It was a waste of time. I would not play there until they make MAJOR improvements and they are documented. ,The workers are very nice and treated us well. They have a real problem and will take time and money to fix it

At the moment it’s under maintenance and all greens aren’t even accessible. They have make shifted greens in the middle of the fairways. At the moment I wouldn’t recommend until course is redone or ready again. Great layout, by far my favorite but but the course isn’t ready to be played on right now. But just wait till it’s ready, it’ll be the nicest course you play.

The course is in really poor shape with a number of greens appearing to have been infested or diseased. There were more than a couple of temporary greens which were just flags and cups placed in the fairway short of the actual greens. A number of fairways were also being aerated. The layout of the course is great though. I would definitely come back once the greens and fairways recover. The staff were all very friendly despite the course conditions. Stay away for awhile! Not worth the rate that we were charged.

I typically don’t write reviews, but I was extremely disappointed with my round this pst Friday at Glen Ivy. I hadn’t been there in a while so I was excited to play there. I was informed that the course greens were recovering from a fungus and there were 4 temp greens(5,7,8,and 12), and the others were being aerated so a 35% discount was being given. Once I was told the fees there wasn’t much different than the rate I was receiving through GolfNow, But there was no heads up on the condition of the course or I may have made another choice. Once in the fairway on the first hole, the full fairway was also being aerated, and the same on the second hole. One of my playing partners called to discuss further concessions for the conditions, but was denied any further concessions. We decided as a group just to finish the round.

Much of the front nine holes were further disappointment. The back nine was not as bad as the front. As a whole the condition of the course was nothing like I recall from my previous rounds at this course. Major disappointment of a day.

It will be a while before I will consider revisiting this course if ever.

I brought 3 other players that never played this course hoping to have a great time and experience the beautiful course that I use to know, all the greens were terrible because they looked like some kind of cool disease had penetrated all the greens, the fairways were terrible and not taken care of. My friends could not believe you guys were charging the kind of money that was charged to play this course. What the he'll happen to Glen Ivy??? I was so disappointed and so were my friends. I always thought it was top 5 in the area. Very sad. Karl.
