Golfer Reviews
Worth the 45 mile drive
So nice I’ll be back
Course getting dry
Was somewhat disappointed in course conditions. Looks like they've cut way back on irrigating the course. Lots of dry and brown spots. Maybe all that water got used to refill the pond behind the 16th green? Also, took just over five hours to complete the round. We had a liquored-up foursome in front of us playing extremely slow. Could have used a marshall to speed up play. Still a fun layout.
Replacing Sand in Bunkers
In the process of replacing sand in bunkers with white fluffy wonderful sand. Best sand I've played in a while. Not all are done, but greens are in great shape for early summer.
Would definitely play it again.
I Like this course
This was my second time playing Glen Ivy. The layout was a challenge on about 50% of the course. It has a nice mixture that makes you think about the shot you want to hit. I give it a thumbs up and will be looking forward to playing it again.
Great Course - Great twilight deals
The first time i played Glen Ivy, i encountered a rattle snake on two different holes, (a baby rattler on a tee box, and an adult on the fairway of another). I actually thought it was kinda cool, but ive since played three more times and no snakes, and loved the course every time. (Just an FYI that you don't wanna be looking too deep in the rough, or the woods for a "stray ball", here.) :)
Course is the perfect distance from Blues for me, and im about a 18-20 handicap, so it's a fun course that's not intimidating. (Except for maybe a rattler here and there.) Haha... The staff is friendly and GPS on the carts is pretty accurate.
The "brown grass" in the video has more to do with my camera and not the course. The course is actually fairly green.
Awesome Course
This place keeps getting better and better. The owners are really dumping some cash into this place. The lakes are all full now and the bunkers are getting a new dose of sweet white sand.
Love this place....also, best bar around !
Beautiful and affordable!!
Such beautiful views, the holes are nice and spread out, the 18th hole is incredible!! Tom, the Marshal, was so awesome, super personable and went and got the club my friend forgot at a hole. The woman working the counter at the bar/restaurant, the cart girl, and the guys taking the carts at the end were all so friendly and helpful. The course and greens are not perfect but this place is amazing for the price. I drive from Newport to come to this course because it’s so beautiful and peaceful. Will definitely keep coming back!!
Hard to find any grass for your ball.
Ball rolled into a hole just off fairway. No relief. Conditions were bad. I hear city is limiting water but would not pay $90 to play here again. $25 at most. Fairways and tee boxes were burnt out as well. I could imagine fully groomed its a nice course. Right now save your money and frustrations.
