Sierra Lakes Golf Club

Might be one of my new favorite courses! Conditions of tee box, fairways and greens were pretty darn good. Course is very scenic, at least a lot more than my local Long Beach courses. The course is fairly challenging with hills/slope, narrowing fairways to challenge certain common distances and tall rough to hide your ball well when you miss the fairway. Pace could’ve been a tad faster, but overall I was very impressed. Definitely worth the drive and will be back!

Pace of play was terrible. No marshal to keep people moving. 5.5 hours to play. Fairways and greens were nice and rolled well. Maintenance was mowing the fairway within 20’ of us when we were trying to hit. Next tee box had 3 mowers mowing the teebox and wouldn’t stop for us to tee off. Wasn’t at 6 a.m like most places. They were mowing all this at 12. Could be a nice fun course but I won’t be back after the experience today

Course was good shape overall but I was surprised to see they still use foam in the cups ? Secondly the greens were a little beat up but figure it’ll be better after they punch at end of month

Course conditions as good as it gets anywhere. The fairways look like greens. In fact, they look like center court and Wimbledon before the event starts.

Other of so called top courses give you marginal conditions for 3 or 4 times the cost just because if a few pretty holes. Not worth it to me.

The people managing maintenance at Sierra Lakes know what they're doing.

Had an early start and wanted food and drinks, bar and food closed till 9.

No cart person on course at all

The biggest reason to return would be the course itself, from there you are on your own

Majestic, is the word that surfaces when looking back on this weekend’s (Labor Day) experience at Sierra Lakes GC. From the moment we turned onto Club House Dr, the utter lush greenery and beauty was abundant and it continued throughout the property.

Note: it was 108 deg Fahrenheit, yet the aforementioned beautiful conditions showcased all 18 holes. Leveled and planed tee boxes, rolling two-cut fairways (with tough yet playable rough) and immaculate multi-tiered greens,; continually left us commenting aloud as to just how impressive the presentation of this course was. A tip-of-the-hat to their ENTIRE maintenance crew, because I’m certain it takes an amazing crew to attain said feit.

The clubhouse and bar staff wasn’t overly welcoming, aside from the starter Lawrence. The food (Chicken Nachos) were delicious and the beer was nice and chilled, as was the entire clubhouse and bar: very much appreciated!

Overall, a delightful experience given I hadn’t been back in well over a decade! A true gem of a course in the IE and definitely worth the drive…and I’ll definitely not let another decade pass before I return.Thanks again Sierra Lakes Team!

I always enjoy playing this course the track is challenging and rewarding at the same time also they take care of the course and you have great fairways and lovely greens

The course conditions was excellent.

A nice golf course.

Fairways are really well kept and tee boxes are nice. Need to hire a new greenskeeper though… first tee time in the morning & there were divots all over the green. Nice grass & so much potential but just lack of care. Pace of play is slow. Layout is fun and overall in good condition. For $85 I expect a little more attention to the finer things.
