About
Angeles National Golf Club is the only Nicklaus Design course in Los Angeles County. It is tucked away in the Angeles National Forest. This championship course is known for being one of the area's most challenging with tough greens that are lightning fast and more than 50 strategically placed bunkers. There are also two lakes and a creek that come into play. Golfers should be prepared for long par 4s and demanding carries over ravines and barrancas. Not only is it a golf course that requires length, you'll also need accuracy. Angeles National Golf Club finishes with a par 4 that plays from an elevated tee alongside the rushing creek that edges the left of the fairway and to the right of the landing area there's a deep bunker. To the right, the green is bordered by deep grass hollows and bunkers and there is a lake to the left.

Great Course but over priced for the current conditions
I have been playing Angeles National since it opened and have seen it go through different ownerships. The original course was fantastic and affordable. There was no formal clubhouse but the range was great and the staff wonderful.
It had to be rerouted when the rains destroyed the 17th and 18th holes but they did a great job rebuilding and getting it back in shape.
New ownership came in and started messing with the staff and increasing the rates. The course also was not maintained as well and suffered for it. The new clubhouse is beautiful but with covid they shut down most amenities and are slow to get it going again.
Angeles National is still a great layout that could use better maintenance and a more open clubhouse. I only play there if I get a discount time.
They charge almost $200 on the weekends......crazy.
Not worth it with minimal amenities.......

No Twilight Rate!!!
I use to love this course, but for the price, no way!!! They have no twilight rate. Tee time in the afternoon is the same as in the morning, crazy!!!!!! Pure Greed!!

Amazing!
First time playing this course. I had a blast. The course was in great condition and the layout was fun but highly challenging. Pace of play was terrific (3 1/2 hrs). Beautiful surroundings and just an excellently cared for course. I'm amazed there are no PGA events held here. I'll definitely be back!!

Nice course
But no towels, tees, ice on the carts, staff was less than attentive.

Nice course, but overpriced
The course was in really nice shape. The greens were rolling great and the bunkers were in great shape. Course has a nice layout and some great undulations in the greens.
The negatives were the fact that it costs $150+ and for that price you don’t get a cart girl riding around or a nice set of clubs to rent.

Yikes - A Course Goes Downhill
As a life-long LA resident who played this course in its glory days when it was hard and well maintained and under $100 to play, it's sad to say Angeles National is both SoCal and Jack Nicklaus' Most Disimproved Golf Course. The course was in terrible condition and the cost, and at $170 per person, unreasonable.
