About
Angeles National Golf Club is the only Nicklaus Design course in Los Angeles County. It is tucked away in the Angeles National Forest. This championship course is known for being one of the area's most challenging with tough greens that are lightning fast and more than 50 strategically placed bunkers. There are also two lakes and a creek that come into play. Golfers should be prepared for long par 4s and demanding carries over ravines and barrancas. Not only is it a golf course that requires length, you'll also need accuracy. Angeles National Golf Club finishes with a par 4 that plays from an elevated tee alongside the rushing creek that edges the left of the fairway and to the right of the landing area there's a deep bunker. To the right, the green is bordered by deep grass hollows and bunkers and there is a lake to the left.

Surprisingly Expensive
I’ve played this track several times, and really like the layout of the course and holes overall. But it’s been a few years and never was it this expensive. I don’t mind paying a premium for a great course, but it better meet the premium standard. Solid grass driving range and practice area. Tee boxes were in GREAT shape. Fairways were in average condition with several areas that needed to be repaired on most holes. None of the fairway or green side bunkers were particularly fluffy. Greens were in rough shape having been recently punched within the last few weeks. Not worth $140 on weekends or $90 on weekdays. But if you’re desperate to get out and need to find a tee time, it’s an option and fun track.
Pathetic experience
Literally the worst experience I’ve ever had Golfing, at this price point!

Angeles is so close
I've loved playing this course for years even with the elevated cost to play. The course remains championship level layout and condition.
Food, beverages and service do not match the price paid and the exceptional course. It's not a deal breaker for me as I'm a golf junkie. If you come to have good service including food and beverages this may not be the best place to go.
Best way I describe it is Monarch golf course with Woodley Lakes service.

Poor customer service
The course is decent. Grass range which is nice. It’s worth 100 and no more in my opinion. Staff and snack bar has been quite rude before, not allowing me to fill my water. Food is not great either.
they use a 3rd party company to book tee times and handle calls. If the 3rd party ever tries to transfer you to the pro shop, nobody picks up. Tried 3 times today with no luck, as well as multiple times before. Seems absurd for a course that wants 160 per person.
Pace was slow
No starter at 1st tee. We had an 8:32 am tee time. Teed off at 8:52 am because backup at 1st tee. On 6th tee called the pro shop because we were the 3rd group waiting to tee off. No one answered at the pro shop. Never saw a course Marshall. Finished the front 9 at 11:20 am (almost hours!). Finished 18 at 2:10 pm. Had to wait on every hole. Pace was terrible. First time we saw the drink cart was on the 17th fareway.

Course Great. Everything else not so good!
The course conditions and layout was nice. However, the driving range nor putting green was open to be able to warm up before playing the course. There was no ice on the carts and none avaliable right away. No beverage cart service for entire round.
For the cost of the round certainly all the above should have been available, and if they were the overall first time experience would have been better for sure.

Pricey but Worth it
This course has always been on the steep side for a course in the SFV. I finally played and wasn’t disappointed. Course condition was fair and the greens were well maintained. Pace of play was wide open and very chill. Would love to play again.

Very good course
I was a little hesitant when booking my tee time due to the other reviews, but it was the only tee time that I could get that would fit my schedule. Was a little turned off by the price, and yes, I think they should include range balls for the price. With that being said, the greens rolled VERY true. They were fast, but that's OK because when they are rolling that we'll, it's not a problem. The fairways were in good condition as well as the rest of the course.
The layout of the course was fantastic. Challenging for all levels. As it was my first time playing this course, I was fortunate to play with a threesome that was very familiar with the course. Would definitely play this course again.

Great Course but over priced for the current conditions
I have been playing Angeles National since it opened and have seen it go through different ownerships. The original course was fantastic and affordable. There was no formal clubhouse but the range was great and the staff wonderful.
It had to be rerouted when the rains destroyed the 17th and 18th holes but they did a great job rebuilding and getting it back in shape.
New ownership came in and started messing with the staff and increasing the rates. The course also was not maintained as well and suffered for it. The new clubhouse is beautiful but with covid they shut down most amenities and are slow to get it going again.
Angeles National is still a great layout that could use better maintenance and a more open clubhouse. I only play there if I get a discount time.
They charge almost $200 on the weekends......crazy.
Not worth it with minimal amenities.......
