Angeles National Golf Club

The course had been highly recommended and did not disappoint. It was very difficult, the greens were fast and the fairways played fast as well.

GOOD: Staff is one of the best, very friendly and accommodating. Love the course layout very interesting holes with very strategic forced carries and bunkers. Greens rolled true and fast on greens today. Fairways were little thin on grass but played with no issues, alot more roll. This one of my favorite courses when I can i get a Golf Now discount.

Bad: Pace of play today, very slow 40 plus tournament group in front of us. Hole 6 had Five groups on hole One on green, fairway, tee box, us, and group behind us. About an hour and 45 min play 5 holes!

The day started ok and started everyone on the back nine as they explained from time to time they do back nine starts. Tee'd off on time behind a 2some and we were a 4some. Got to the second tee and 2some was still there. Thus began the theme of the afternoon, we waited on every shot. This was not the 2some's fault they were waiting for the 3some in front of them and then tracking holes I could see there was another 2some in front of them. Why not hold back a group and combine 2somes's into 4somes to pace groups better. We also saw what we thought was a marshall and asked him about the slow play and he just shrugged and said were busy. 2hrs45min for to complete the back nine(1st9). got to the 1st hole(turn) and 2some was on the tee box, 3some was in the fairway and group ahead leaving the green, we decided in order to even finish our round we had to play the back nine again. BTW we finished that as a foursome in 1hr30min. Terrible when you think about coming to such a place as Angeles National that you'd have to play the same nine again. Terribly managed, the staff is rude and just have a place to work.

I don't care if it's free I will never play this course again unless it sells and goes under new management. DON"T WASTE YOUR MONEY! too many other great course in the area.

Interesting layout. Winter fairways were very tight. Great greens but fast with typical mountain upslope/downslope differences

There is nothing wrong with the course, it has a good layout and the back drop is nice. But I’d never play here again just because the value doesn’t match the price. To me this belongs in the category of San Dimas Canyon or Mt Meadows, but those are $50. With the right price adjustment the rating could significantly increase.

The fairways were dead and it was like playing off hard dirt. I’m sure this was intentional winter maintenance but players should have been told prior to booking and received a discounted rate. But got great roll!! The greens were in pretty good condition but it’s amazing how people don’t fix their ball marks. Green side bunkers were good but fairway bunkers were thin on sand.

I had a bad experience in the past but today was great. We finished 18 holes in 4 hrs and 10 mins. The greens were in great condition and very quick. The fairways were popP bit hard but the ball rolled well. The overall golf course condition was 8 out of 10. It you want a challenging golf experience, you have to try Angeles National G.C.

I live in the area and love to play Angeles National whenever I can find cheap rates on GolfNow. It can be a bit pricey during peak hours and weekends, but it is possible to regularly find rates under $60 if you are flexible on time. It is definitely one of the best public courses in LA County, and it always makes for relatively fast rounds. Today I played, and even though my playing partner and I got bogged down on the back nine by some slower moving groups ahead, we still managed to finish the round in under four hours. I have heard many people complain that the course is overly difficult, with many forced carries, but I have found that once you have played a few rounds, it just requires a bit of course management on the players’ part. I have rarely had any type of negative experience here.

This course could be great but for the price the conditions were pretty unfortunate. Some of the greens were very poorly maintained. There was Also no drinking water on the course.

Took a international business customer there for a round and lunch. We teed off on a Friday morning at 8:30 and finished the round in 3 hours and 10 minutes from the tips. Greens were fast but true and in awesome shape. Staff and food was great.

The only grass in great shape at this course is on the tee box.

Fairways are tight and dried out. Literally the firways at all the best by Muni courses are in better shape.

Greens are in good not great condition.

Best part about this course is the range and practice areas.

Fairways were hard and fast, however greens very soft. But greens were fast.
