PGA WEST Pete Dye Mountain Course

Considering the time of year course was in good shape. Greens were slow, bunkers were very good and overall course was good. Driving range closed which was disappointing. 18th hole on mountain course is very plain and for an 18th hole. 16th Par 3 with raised teebox is a fun scenic hole. Club staff before and after round were exceptional.

However with the number of great courses in the area I would play it again but not in a rush to do so.

Course and views of the mountains were excellent. However pace of play was awful, waiting nearly 20-30 minutes every shot for majority of the holes should have been addressed by the staff. Plenty of staff were on the course monitoring pace of play yet nothing was sped up. Not to mention there is no range usage due to construction which is not mentioned when booking the tee time. Only saving grace was the course was in great shape and playable

Greens were a rough otherwise the course was in fantastic condition. Driving range is closed.

Nice course, and attentive staff. But, no range! Not disclosed at booking. I showed up an hour early to break in new irons I had never swung before. They just looked me and said “good luck”.

How does a course of this pedigree not have a range??

Loved the layout but the greens had good coverage but were very bumpy which was disappointing

Booked 8 guys one couldn’t show tried to cancel 24 hours in advance but this course needs 48 hours still got charged for the round BS

The day started off by staff telling us we were lucky to be playing there course and the $197 green fee we paid was cheap because they get $350 normally.

The greens were absolutely terrible, the were the roughest example of a green and each putt looked as if was crossing a mogul field. The positive side they had some grass in them.

We stopped at the turn to get something to eat. Asked for some fruit or hot dog. The staff seemed as if we were interrupting their morning. I did get a soggy ham sandwich served in a plastic case which looked like a vending machine left over.

The greens were probably the worst I’ve ever played on - like crunch astroturf.

This might be one of my favorite PGA West courses. But the lack of cart service, on a very backed up back 9, left something to be desired.

Very frustrated and we had a confirmed reservation paid via visa to golf now and when we got to the golf course they didn’t have a tee time for us on the tee sheet..

After 1 hour of phoning to golf now and dealing with the golf course we got out but we had to pay for another tee time which is unexceptionable. I’m waiting for a refund however it’s going to less due to Canadian exchange,

Very fustrating and will think twice when booking golf now.

Love the course the views but unfortunately waited on every single shot and the greens were unspectacular. Desert course usually have great greens. These were uneven and zig zagging all the way. Every hole was similar
