La Quinta Mountain: #15
#15 on La Quinta's Mountain is laying along the base of the mountains - stay tight to the base and go for this par 5 in two. The green stays snug up against the base and will not be in full view.

Great golf day

Staff was very friendly and accomodating. Clubhuse is filled with great clothing selection and reasonable prices.

Golf course view is stunning. Elevated greens are always a challenge since the greens do not hold. 2 putts are a win and 3 putts for sure are easy...lol...hard greens since they are new...

part of the challenge...

Wait until grounds recover from flood damage.

Course is rough from water damage due to hurricane last October. Driving range shut down and several areas under repair. Call before you want to play for updates.

Don’t bother with this course

Pete dye mountain course first nine is boring, flat, nothing special. Back nine gets interesting in the rocks. Dark early against the mountains. Greens have no grip thanks to brown grass. Signature hole 16 backs up. Should have a Marshall there to keep things moving etc. group behind us jumped in front while we’re on elevated tees waiting our turn. Not worth the money.

Scenic back 9

The PGA West Dye Mountain course is decent although when we played they had recently replaced the greens and they were very firm - approach shots didn’t hold at all.

Scenic back 9.

Good track, but I would put it in the average category for the price compared to other options in Palm Springs//Palm Desert

Course

The course was a bit in a rough shape, but still had fun. Very opened and not too difficult. The starter was absolutely excellent. The best starter. I’ve worked with as he offered great tips to make our round more enjoyable will definitely return.

Better back 9

We played PGA West Dye Mountain course and they have new greens. They were very firm and didn’t hold…but what you’d expect from new greens.

The back nine is tight, more scenic and the better 9. Overall it’s a nice track and a decent bargain for the money for Palm Springs.

Better than all the rest of pga west

Most of these reviews are beyond wrong. They might have suffered storm damage in the fall- but it's back to glorious & a GEM of a course!!! 16 might be the best par three in the desert 🏜- and playing literally in the mountains is an experience like nothing else!!! Viva the Mountain course & it's spectacular views- we will definitely return!!! JP

The course was no where worth the cost. Greens were hard as concrete. Lots of washed out areas. Rough was not looked after.Grounds crew were busy digging and getting in the way. No range. Should have been a significant discount. We will not be back!

Good experience, Riley kept it from being great

First and foremost, this is a gorgeous course with a fantastic layout. First issue, THE RANGE IS CLOSED, its been closed for months and WILL NOT BE OPEN UNTIL SEPTMEBER!!!! We didn't see this posted anywhere until we showed up (no compensation). The pace started off slow but as the tournament ahead of us finished, things picked up a bit. We tee'd off at shortly after 1:30 - knowing that it would likely be close to finishing but with greenfees $160 per person, I still remained hopeful. My two partners tee'd off on 18 and as I was about to take my backswing when the marshall (starter) started telling us quite firmly - "The course is closed, get off the course". I've included a photo of the last tee.. there was absolutely no issues with visibility. I'd expect them to be a bit more lenient with this due to the fact that the pace was slow to start the round, no range and no issues with visibility. This final interaction with Riley left us with a bad taste in our mouths. Sounded like there was a football game he wanted to catch... In a nutshell, the course and views are incredible, the service left a lot to be desired.

Steve K review of our golf outing at PGA West Mountain course.

Staff treated us like 2nd class golfers due to our twilight golf rate.
