Course in great shape except the greens

Greens are very slow with granular fertilizer spread out over the greens. It was like sand on the greens, you couldn't get a true roll. Despite the greens, I still recommend playing because eventually, the fertilizer will be gone and it's a PGA West course.

Great layout and challenging course

Fairway and green was good but rough were dry out ( many brown spots). You can’t expect winter condition on April. Many golf courses were dry out too not just PGA courses . So I will like to play here again. And I highly recommend this course if you visit the desert

Ok but not great

I was eagerly anticipating the back nine as everyone says it’ has outstanding views and layout. Yeah maybe 15-18 and there are still many houses in site. Front 9 was cramped but had water on a number of holes and less houses on the fairways. Conditions were fair with a number of brown patches as to be expected in the desert. Be aware golf sandals could get you rejected from play. Worth it for under $100 with a deal time…hope the stadium course lives up to the hype as this one was just ok.

Fun course

Course was in amazing shape and had great facilities and Practice area. The back 9 was picturesque with several holes playing up against the cragy mountians and desert wilderness. Some of the lowland holes played more like a dunes course, with not alot of vegetation or trees. I particularly liked some of the fairway long. sandy waste areas. That was a pretty unique feature I have not seen. The course was challenging with many elevated, well protected greens, but not overly difficult if you can hit you short irons high and true.

Needs a Face lift

I carry a high single digit handicap and play public golf courses all over the country. The first nine holes do not rate the price that they are charging for this course. It is one massive grassy area, surrounded on two sides by mountains. It was often hard to distinguish where the greens were in respect to the tee boxes. There often very little separating different holes. It was not till you got to the back nine that things were more interesting. Holes 14-17 were breath taking but not worth what they are charging. Now that PGA West owns the property, we can only hope that someone will make some changes to the front nine to make it worth returning.

Did not like the GPS being mounted in the lower portion of the cart, and the volume and Bluetooth were often difficult if not impossible to adjust.

Over rated

Considering how much I paid even with the discount, this course is not worth the money I paid. The front nine is laid out so closely together that it was confusing to know how to play the holes. The back nine was better because the view was nice against the mountains. However, after playing 5 holes in about an hour, the pace was very slow, we waited 10 minutes on each hole to play a tee shot. Clubhouse and bathrooms are old and outdated.

Not a course to miss

Fantastic golf course designed to test the technical side of the game. Don't let the relatively short distance fool you, this course is an incredible challenge. The conditions, course design, and scenery are all wonderful.

Beautiful course

Good condition and beautiful view. But it is a very difficult course to play for high handicapper . Pace was good played 4 hours 30 minutes . I liked PGA mountain course more than PGA Stadium . But both courses are good . I highly recommended playing this two courses .
