PGA Mountain

Beautiful Course. Terrible Day. We were excited to experience this tremendous course unfortunately the entire day was ruined by the ":foursome" behind us. It consisted of 3 carts, 3 adult golfers and 3 non golfing children between the ages of 5 - 8 I suspect. The yelling and screaming and rolling down the hills by the children lasted all day. I just can't imagine why this was allowed on a course with this pedigree. We were also paired with a couple who actually congratulated each other on the completion of 18 holes of real golf ( we do not blame the course for this as they have no way of knowing that this was the couples first full round of golf ) Very difficult day.

Grumpy staff, terrible food and beverage

Experience started with having to eat lunch out of a cardboard box, shabby for a $45 bill; course marshall gave us grief for being behind but our cart showed we were 5+ minutes ahead; other golfers jumping ahead but marshall did nothing about it. Oh, and this club can't figure out how to accept RBC credit cards like everywhere else in the world ... PGA West ... pretty amateur.

big difference from other PGA West courses

pretty average condition the high season, thin fairways/tees, slow greens. beautiful setting. finished round at 430-ish on a Thursday, restaurant/bar already closed. only saw Bev cart once on the front side.

NICE ROUND WITH MY SONS

HAD A NICE ROUND WITH MY TWO SONS. ONLY COMPLAINT WAS FROM MY TWO SONS WHO HAVEN'T PLAYED A LOT OF HIGHER END COURSES, SO SEVERAL TIME THROUGH THE ROUND THE MARSHAL PULLED UP WHICH MADE BOTH OF THEM FELL UNEASY (THINKING THEY WERE PLAYING SLOW) ONLY TO HAVE THE MARSHAL TELL US THAT WE WE "RIGHT ON PACE".... BOTH OF MY SON'S THOUGHT THAT IT EFFECTED THERE GAME WHEN NO ONE WAS PUSHING US AND WE WERE WAITING TO TEE OFF A COUPLE OF TIMES

Amazing Track

Hadn’t played this classic Dye Desert layout in years and was happy to see the course is being looked after and is still relevant as one of the best desert layouts you’ll ever play. The staff was friendly and the course conditions were in top shape. Highly recommend for your golf break.

One of the most scenic courses you can play and overall enjoyable. The Ranger could have done a better job keeping up the pace of play as we were around 4:45.

Ridiculously slow pace of play.

Very frustrating to wait at every hole and have to finish on hole 15 as there were so many groups lined up in front of us we had to call it quits early.

Marshal said slow players at 9 am slowed play all day.

If they anticipate this they should put out fewer foursomes , if they can’t keep golfers to a steady pace.

While the course is strategically difficult and beautiful, our experience was marred by our inability to complete 18.
