Ok for the money,
I’ve played here numerous times and unfortunately the course condition has gone down hill. Fairways very spotty and too much sand in fairway bunkers. (I know, shouldn’t be there in first place.) Greens rolled pretty well but seriously fast.
You really have to like Pete Dye courses to play here.

Course has gone downfill
When I last played the course 5 years ago, it was a nice experience, Now it is not so. First, they have not water replenishment on the course and only one rest room at #4 of the course. Oh they say one after nine, but you have to struggle to find it, especially since the pro ship locks up at 3 pm.
No GPS on new carts, but one of our had a dead battery on hole 14. Calls to the pro shop futile because they closed at 3:00.. I had to interrupt our round to give a player a lift to the cart barn for a replacement. I was weary of the ordeal, so my wife and I decided to just go home.
Oh, while the tees, greens and fairways were in good shape, everywhere leaving tees, cart paths and greens we large bare areas. Very unsightly and and indication of deferred maintenance.

The sand traps had mud and were not raked. The rain was 2 days earlier and they had not been repaired. Mowing was active usually not a problem but they were not aware of players in the fairway. The PGA Championship was on the weekend before and the expectation was the course would be in great shape. It was not. We have always enjoyed this course and have seen it in better shape. Disappointed!

Overall great layout. Some areas currently under repair, and some areas burnt or in need of reseeding/water to bring it up to its potential (mostly around Greens so pretty noticeable throughout the round)

Beautiful golf course
Course in beautiful shape. Fairways open with hills on both sides adding some difficulty. Water hazards reasonable and very attractive.

The course is much improved from 2022. It’s not back up to the level of the 2010’s but you can tell this management is trying to bring it back. It’s always been a nice layout.
