Westin Rancho Mirage Golf Resort & Spa - Pete Dye Resort Course

Multiple bare areas off the the fairways. It’s called ground under repair. Not up to the Pete Dye standards.

We've played this course many times over the years and enjoyed our round today. The staff was friendly and helpful and the pairing that we had was a good one. The fairways, tee boxes and greens are nice. The rough is dry and ranges from dry grass to dirt due to the watering restrictions in place so I guess I can't fault the course; however, it makes play tough sometimes if you are off fairway. And the aesthetics are not as nice as when the entire course is lush and green. Nevertheless, it's not an unusual condition right now. I'd still recommend because we love the layout and the challenge.

It was an enjoyable day of golf. Pace on the back nine was bit slow. Could have used some control. Also couple of areas with red ant hills.

Everything was good and we enjoyed our golf at the Pete Dye course.

It would be fun after playing it a few times to know the course ins and outs to score a little better. .

Resort level service as you would suspect. An easier Dye design….which is nice for playability. Greens and fairways are great, bunkers need quite a bit of work and it looks like they couldn’t decide to overseed or leave the rough dormant….thus more dirt than anything else.

We had great weather for our round on the Westin Rancho Mirage course. It's a nice Pete Dye layout with some challenging and nice risk-reward holes. The course was in okay condition with some spotty areas on the fairways and greens. I would have felt better about the round if the greens fees were $150 per player rather than the $260 we paid. It was overpriced for the golf course. We paid a similar greens fee at PGA West and had a far superior experience. The amenities on the course were disappointing since the snack shack at the turn was difficult to find and the service was poor. Glad we played it once, but not sure we'd do it again.

On the must play list. Beautiful course, greens were in excellent shape.

We are husband and wife, and we are not equal in our golfing abilities, but found this course to be challenging yet playable for both! We were paired with another couple and really enjoyed ourselves. Unfortunately, there were some non-golfers, who were there for a conference, and decided at the last minute to play. They were very slow and we had to wait iat each and every hole for at least five minutes. After the ninth hole when they went to get something to eat, we kept playing so we could be in front of them, which made our experience so much better. When we finished, they were at least two holes behind us. If not more. There were no course rangers to speed up the play, which is the only negative comment I have. Other than that …great course and we would totally play there again. 😊

It was a nice resort course but the rough isn’t maintained for $ they charge. For $200/round my expectations are higher. Sand in bunkers was hard
