About
A solid course design and immaculate course conditions make Wekiva a favored golf destination. Crafted out of a wooded setting, it features many doglegs bordered by large stands of trees and no parallel fairways. Most holes are well bunkered with water coming into play on three holes.
A semi-private club that welcomes outside play, this 18-hole, 6,849 yard par 72 course has mature oaks, pines and palms; equitable undulating fairways; strategic bunkers and gentle mounding that highlights both the fairway and greens.
Wekiva, only 4 miles from I-4's exit 48, is a golf club in the truest sense.

Course is fair. Greens are moderately good, fast in the uncovered locations, slower otherwise.
This course has improved significantly. Fairways are bare in spots but overall playable. Greens roll fairly true and are somewhat accurate to the read.
Poor condition
Virtually every Teebox, and probably 50% of the greens were in really bad conditions. The remainder of the course had a ton of bare spots or weeds instead of grass. Definitely has not been kept up over the last year.
Weekend fun
Most of the course was in good condition. The Fairways could use a little more attention. There was a lot of dirt patches.
Improving, except
Managment needs to give lessons on how to fix ball marks on the greens and then have them sign an affidavit agreeing to do so. Greens looked like a bombing range. You shouldn't have to adjust your line to avoid pot holes!
Looking forward to the future
Word is many millions are being spent to improve the course, I look forward to seeing the results of the investment
Tee time intervals too close - pace of play
Course needs to adjust their tee time intervals from 7 mins to at least 9/10 mins. If you play here you will be waiting between every shot. Difficult to get any sort of rhythm. Played with my wife the women’s tee boxes need some work uneven and not maintained. Price was good, fairways are decent, greens are good too. Pace of play really drags down the entire round waiting between every shot.

Played Wekiva five years ago and it was okay. Heard that Simola county has taken over the course So decided to give it another go. Boy was I surprised. They have really turned it around. The fairways were in fairly good condition and the greens were running very good. The 17th green needs a bit of TLC. Bunkers are good as well. Had lunch at the course, good home style cooking at a reasonable price. Thanks.
