Wekiva Golf Club

Booked through golf now. I may have missed the warning that only 9 holes were open due to sprinkler upgrades. That 9 also had residual issues from repairs. Good news not crowded.

I like to catch a quick 9 when I get home and Wekiva allowed me to get a later tee time. When me and the wife showed up I always love the courses that allow a single player and rider with zero hassle as it is great spouse time to get away and relax. I know not an ideal date night but to us it is. Thanks for allowing those moments. As far as the golf the course is laid out good in my opinion challenging enough to be fun but easy enough beginners can enjoy too. The course could use some maintenance but it’s not terrible and shows signs of some love so keep it up. The Proshop is small and intimate but could use some more stuff I would like to push for the quarter sized ball markers as no matter where I play I try to get one and add to my collection and display. Please please get some. Other than that thank you for the service and hospitality and thank you for a great round we will be back!

I am just getting back into playing after years away from the sport, so 9 holes was perfect.

Front 9 was closed for some maintenance/repairs so we started on 10 and played the back 9.

Gentleman in the pro shop was very kind and informative when I asked questions since I had not played here before. The tee boxes were in good shape, the fairways were okay but maybe a touch dry, and the greens were in fairly good shape. Bunker conditions were hit or miss but it did not affect my mood while playing.

For the price I would recommend the course to anyone looking for a fun and relaxing 9 (or 18).

Got rained out after 8 holes which wasn’t a big deal because when I got there they said they had the front nine closed anyways which wasn’t disclosed on golf now. Inside kitchen was closed to get anything on the turn at only 3pm? But Course was in okay shape fairways were okay greens were slow and not in the best shape tee boxes looked like someone took a hammer to them.

Greens are generally in good shape, though . some are very difficult to putt as the surface, though very smooth, has various slopes and humps.

Some par four's and fives are out of my reach as a very elderly Silver player. 25 to 30 yards shorter would help.

New irrigation system going in. Back nine fairways miserable, didn't have a shot that I didn't have to move ball to find grass. Greens not much better.

The course is slowly improving. Most of the greens are with a good growth and a smooth roll. They are continuously working on the fairways. Start times are not a problem. A couple of the tees are rough, but they are working on them.

I enjoy playing this course!

This course has improved significantly. Fairways are bare in spots but overall playable. Greens roll fairly true and are somewhat accurate to the read.

Virtually every Teebox, and probably 50% of the greens were in really bad conditions. The remainder of the course had a ton of bare spots or weeds instead of grass. Definitely has not been kept up over the last year.

Most of the course was in good condition. The Fairways could use a little more attention. There was a lot of dirt patches.

Managment needs to give lessons on how to fix ball marks on the greens and then have them sign an affidavit agreeing to do so. Greens looked like a bombing range. You shouldn't have to adjust your line to avoid pot holes!
