Colina Park Golf Course
About
Colina Park Golf Club is an 18-hole, par-3 course that has a reputation for having some of the best conditions in the area. The course is an excellent spot for working on your short game. You can leave your driver at home because your wedge and putter will be doing most of the work. The layout is a seemingly short 1,250 yards but it's packed with challenges including more than 10 bunkers, two lakes, and even a few waterfalls. The par 3s range in length from 67 yards to 125. Some of the elevated tee shots can be intimidating and the undulations in the fast greens call for careful course management. Colina Park Golf Club is a course that will test you, no matter what your skill level, and to make it even more appealing, it's also one of the most affordable rounds in the San Diego area.

Hidden Gem
Well maintained course. Green fairways and nicely maintained greens. Never crowded. Very short, short course, about 60+ to 100 yards per hole. Great prices. Absolutely the BEST deal in San Diego, if you want to practice your short game. Only downside is that you tee off mats, but that is not really a problem. Great place for the beginner or someone more experienced who wants to work on chipping and putting.
They also run a First Class golfing and life skills program for kids named The First Tee/Pro Kids, which I highly recommend for any kid. Relative to the cost of golf lessons, this program is very, very inexpensive.
Good course for beginners
I played with my 9 year old son and was quickly down by 2 after he birdied the 1st and I made 4 from the back of the green. Today the greens were slow, having been recently punched and not mowed for a while. The course is fun, lots of hills and you can play it with a gap wedge and a putter. All the tee boxes are synthetic grass mats which helps keep the course divot free. We got behind a family of 4 that was sharing clubs out of a single bag and marking every putt. We skipped hole 5 and got around them and played the rest of the course in about an hour.
Great course for beginners.
If your beginning or need practice on your short game, this place is excellent! Beautiful greens all around..
Good short distance golf course
Great course for your irons! It only took me a little over two hours to complete 18 holes as a single player with a steady pace. Great environment for kids and adults.
Sandwedge and putter
Great place for kids to learn the game. Most holes are about 75 yards. The course was in very good condition. Water and sand play a part in the challenge.
very nice course...had hole in one @ hole 7. shot 48
well maintained course, very nice greens, good practice area for short games.
Great Course for any level.
This a very well maintained course and must play for any San Diego golfer. The greens will fool you.
This course has some good features for a par 3 like some inclines and sandtraps and water hazards.
This is a well maintain course.and has a really good layout complete with sandtraps and waterfalls, elevations.nice driving range and practice area with sandtrap and putting green. The greens and fairways are in great condition,This is a must play course.
It has water features and nice sand traps
It is well maintained and the pin placements are alway's a callenge
Where beginners should start playing.
Pace of play is huge problem - idiots who have no business teeing off from the blues (or the blacks for that matter); spending too much time over a shot; too many practice swings; lining up their shot; etc... all of this to either shank a shot out of bounds or nudge it 5 feet forward...just so they can do it all over again FROM THE SAME SPOT!!! Absolutely mind-boggling and RIDICULOUS!
This is where these players should be playing - its nice, easy yet challenging enough, short and most of all FUN. Learn the rules, the etiquette, the nuances, and still get off the course in a respectable time.
Very good beginner course
I took my son to this course as he is a beginner golfer. Although holes are short, the elevational changes on some of the holes provided good challenges.
