Great day on the links!
From the time I arrived at the bag drop, it was a great experience. Welcomed like they knew me and first class treatment. Got paired up with a couple of other Canadians escaping the cold. Really nice layout. Not much water, but goodly amount of bunkers. The course is in great shape, from tee to green on every hole. Bunkers have enough sand and with few exceptions, houses are set back enough to be out of play for all but the most extreme wild shots. In fact, I enjoyed it so much, I went back again the next day! Put this on your to-do list. You won't be disappointed.
Great Palm Springs Course
The North course may not be as picturesque as its sister South course, but it’s a challenging tract in great shape. Greens were is excellent shape, not any bad fairway spots, and no crowds, so the round was quick. A great place to play.
Great golf experience!
This course is in beautiful shape with nearly perfect greens. I highly recommend it for a nice value the the valley.
Ok for the price
I picked the north based on price , I knew from other reviews the south was nicer.
Conditions were great , layout is old school . I still don’t understand how courses now a days do not have gps in carts and charge full price stiill.
No cart paths was odd .
Very scenic and interesting layout
Overall and very nice experience. Pace of play was slow and little was done by marshall to speed people up. Ended up "leap frogging" a group who had 2 holes open in front of them. Tee boxes and fairways in excellent shape, buy greens were relatively slow, fuzzy and bumpy. Would still recommend this very scenic track.
Wonderful golf course
Grass in great condition with very nice staff in all positions- pace of play was enjoyable - beautiful day !!
Great day on the course
We had a great day on this course. From the moment we arrived the staff was greeting us and helping us get settled in. The pace of play was terrific, no one behind us. The course was in great shape, the fairways were pristine and the greens were true. We couldn’t take the carts in the fairway yet but it didn’t interfere with our enjoyment of the course. Everyone was very attentive and just wanted us to enjoy our round. Would definitely play here again.
Amazing Service
From the minute we arrived, the staff were amazing. So friendly and genuinely wanting us to enjoy our round of golf. The course has only re-opened for 3 days.
Opening Day!
In opening day, the course looked—and played—great. The greens, which have always been quick and true, are a little slow right now, but they will get faster. A classic course with tremendous Palm Springs heritage, and some spectacular mountain views.
Great time
I played here and had the corse to my self.
Great time.
Great customer service.
They met me when I was walking in. The service was excellent. Unfortunately, the course needs some help. It’s in average condition at best. Many dry areas in fairways. Greens are green, but very hard. The sand is super hard packed. The price was right for the experience. If I had payed realize price before arriving I would have been disappointed to say the least.
Again, the customer service was second to none. They treated me like they were really glad I was there.
Play it!
Kinda last minute as the girlfriend wished to golf on Mother’s Day, she is in the very early stages of learning.
I have played the south course maybe 15-20 times, this was the first time for the North Course. Tee time 12:50, parking lot almost empty, which is a good thing, cause as I said the girlfriend is really new to golf. We talk the first guy we see, he says he will get our bags, put them on the cart and it’ll be waiting for us after we check in.
Checking went great, super friendly guy checked us in, made small talk, the guy couldn’t of been nicer. I’m sure he wanted to go home, but he didn’t ever treat us in a rush.
The course is nothing like the south course. It’s very old school Palm Springs golf course, which was awesome by the way. Reading up on the history of the place knowing the “Rat Pack” have played and hung out there made it just that much more awesome! The stories those Palm trees could tell!!
Anyway the course was in good shape, greens were well manicured, fairways were nice as well. Since we were the last time of the day and the girlfriend is a horrible golfer, I felt we should step our pace of play. After just teeing off on 16 I see the course worker coming our way. He doesn’t say a word, I was fully ready to skip the last few holes so he could go home. Well since he didn’t say anything we kept playing.
Round is over, he cleans the clubs, makes small talk as we are loading our clubs. Obviously the south course is more modern, but if you’re looking to play golf at an old school Palm Springs course, this is s great choice.
See ya this summer south course, as you are my go to course in the summer.
Aging Like a Fine Wine
This course is enjoyable on many levels. The layout is not too exciting—it was built to be in the midst of a neighborhood—but each hole has some nuance that makes it fun to play. The greens are arguably the best in Palm Springs. They are quick but roll true. For all of the mid-century architecture in Palm Springs, this course is a perfect complement. I’m bummed it’s not open the whole year!
