Indian Canyons North
The course was in very good condition, very playable, especially for the ladies. Houses were close to the course but not really in the way for us. Greens were true... sand was hard though. Staff was friendly.
Perfect till the 18th
For this time of year, and compared to last year the course is in very good shape. Pace of play was good till we got to the 18th hole.
At the 18th tee box there were 2 foursomes waiting to tee off.
Very major bottleneck and a sure way to put a damper on the round.
Lovely course
Enjoyed the course, not too difficult. Mostly straight. Played in the early afternoon, not many on the course, which was good. Beautiful surroundings as we played.
Pretty Good
This was a warm up course for us and served the purpose quite well.
The south course was closed for overseeding and we played the north course. What was not divulged to us is that the practice range is, seemingly, on the same rotation as the south course so was actually closed as well. This ought to be disclosed at booking as it is somewhat material. Most people like to warm up before a game and, if they know that the range is closed, they may be inclined to go elsewhere. Either that or provide tangible compensation for this at booking.
Secondly, the north and south have physically separate parking areas – on either side of the approach road so we initially missed the north turn off – perhaps better directions for that are in order.
Otherwise, this course is pretty good. A friendly, welcoming staff with clear navigation instructions for the first tee and practice greens. The course is fairly wide open which is just what the doctor ordered for a warm up game. I think the course had just opened up again so the greens didn’t look great but they were consistent and reliable. We only saw the refreshment cart once. All in all, though, a good experience.
Good course - needs a little TLC
Good course, just needs a little work on the periphery items. Cart paths need work. Could use some ball washers. In general, a good course if you can get it for a reasonably price.
This is the number one course to play in the desert
Nice course, great staff
Great classic layout through homes and the foothills of the Mountains. Great , friendly staff that provided excellent service. I highly recommend
Nice course. Nice layout. Enjoyable round of golf.
Nice find
I've been coming to the Palm Springs area for over 20 years. Not sure how I missed this course, but highly recommend it.
this course seems to be in financial stress?
It all started at check-in standing in line 20 minutes! Then getting to my threesome to find a strange bag on my cart! I was told that they ran out of carts and I would have to drive the fellow joining us. Both he and I were in shock both wondering who we were about to spend the next 5 1/2 hours with (yes 5 1/2)! We asked the starter about it and he said that's why he plays in the morning, ...not as busy. He also admitted he gets free golf! Wow! After 8 holes of waiting on every shot we finally saw the beverage cart who screamed out across the fairway LAST CALL!! , it was 2 o'clock!! Thankfully the guy wasn't a smoker or worse a cigar smoker and had great golf etiquette, also could score otherwise someone would be walking. Old time course layout was kinda fun but needs a lot grooming .
Golfnow booking
Did not know there was no driving rge and it was cart path only.
Enjoyable round
Have played this course many times and always enjoy it. Staff is excellent and this year so are the conditions. Greens a bit slow but that will change as the season progresses. If management was on top of their game they would open the bar in the fantastic mid-century modern club house for the players as well as the people in the south end of palm springs...what a waste! They have a nice short game area which used to be a good place to practice however for some unknown reason they refuse to cut a collar around the green or provide some fairway length grass to chip from so essentially every chip shot becomes a flop shot by necessity. How difficult would it be to run the mower? If you haven't played this course do so, it won't disappoint, unless you want to practice your short game.
