Staff and course conditions
Excellent course, beautiful layout had a great day. I had noticed that I lost my sunglasses as we left. Looked but could not find them. The staff went the extra mile for me and searched every where. Pro shop found them on one of the shirt racks and returned them. Very grateful. Thanks
Course is in great shape!
An old style course, not fancy, but the fairways are in great shape and so are the greens. Fun to play!
Great Historical Golf Coures
This course is great and if anything it is under recognized by the management for its historical past and the outstanding mid century homes than are on the course stunning originals of Palm Springs
Disappointed in course condition.
I played this course a month ago and the conditions were somewhat better. Fairways and greens were fine; traps were compacted sand with grass hanging over edges, The lake on one of the par 3's is an eyesore. On another par 3 the lake is gone. Cart paths are terrible. I have always enjoyed playing the North course and hope it can be improved by next spring.
Customer service class needed
Course is beautiful but staff is very unfriendly, dismissive and at times outright rude. As much as we love this course and the views I doubt we will be back.
Good starter course
Decent value for the money. Last minute tee times usually available. Course is very repetitive pretty much the same hole over and over. Old school Palm Springs houses line all fairways. Good starter course in the valley. No services on site. They do have a because cart and food can be order and elivered via the cart. No range on site must go across the street to the south course.
Great value
Played this early Sunday morning in April and felt like we owned the course. Greens, fairways in good shape. A good challenge, but wide fairways, hard to lose a golf ball. We paid 40% less the rack rate. Definitely will play again.
average course
Average course (not nearly as nice as south course). close to some homes. Nice pleasant round
Indian Canyon golf course
Indian Canyon golf course. Great place to play, the views are spectacular and scenic. Don't miss an opportunity to play this course.
Sheltered from the wind on a windy day
A lot of times we chose this course because we don't worry about the breezy conditions that can affect some other courses down the valley. The bonus is that it is a beautiful course with the majestic mountains as a great backdrop!!
A great day of golf!
Our foursome had an excellent day on the course. Staff were great and the course was in great shape. Will play this course again.
Very good course and experience especially for the price.
First time playing either of the Indian Canyons courses. The course was in very good condition, especially if you didn't get off the beaten path. Some of the outlying areas were a little less desirable, but you shouldn't hit it there. The course had A lot of loose debris probably due to the bad wind storm that went through the desert 2 days previous. The fairways and greens are in beautiful shape, although the greens are a little slow for my liking. Overall a good experience, especially for a Palm Springs course still in season. The staff was somewhat interesting to me. They were by all means courteous and professional, but you wouldn't mistake them for a top notch, super custom service oriented group either. They did there jobs and did them well, they just weren't the most warm and friendly group you ever want to meet. This is on a very personal note for me, but I think too many golf courses (high end facilities in particular) underestimate the importance of customer service and exactly what I think that entails. As far as I'm concerned, if you want your facility to not be known for just being a great golf course, but also for being a great customer experience, some additional attention needs to be paid to 4 employees/positions at your facility. 1> The person that greets you in the parking lot and takes your clubs. 2> The person taking your money when you pay for your round. 3> The starter who gives you last minute instructions. Lastly 4> The Cart Girl (person). I'm guessing because those are probably not the best paying positions at the facility, little time, effort, or money is spent on customer service training. The fact of the matter is those 4 positions can make or break what or how people think about your facility (regardless of how great or terrible the golf course is). I've played many of the better golf courses around So Cal and the country for that matter and you can really tell the difference between those facilities that only care about having a great golf course and little else versus those facilities that go the extra mile because they realize they are not the only nice golf course in town so they need to make customer service a priority if they want people to come back. Please don't get me wrong, Indian Canyons North is a nice facility with good people. I just feel like because they are located in a mecca for golf (high end golf in particular), they probably face a lot of competition and may be looking for ways to separate themselves. Doing a few little things that improve the customer experience, just a little bit, could possibly help separate them from at least some of their numerous competitors. Sometimes hiring people who are naturally friendly might be better than hiring people who appear to be more professional. Just a thought... Sorry for being so long winded, but you asked.
Still a Classic
Great course with lots of history. Arguably the best greens in the desert. Speedy, true and nothing is straight! Also, you get to see some of the coolest houses in Palm Springs.
This is an original course of the area. Very few water hazards. Player friendly.
This is one of the original courses in Palm Springs area. Lots of history attached to this course. Very player friendly . Staff were very friendly. Only negative would be no food venue.
